I think that a critical hit system needs to be in the game so that the combat isn't too mundane.

I suggested the same thing

I suggested the same thing man and the reactions weren't pretty as it projects overkill,too many exploits like doing massive damage to monsters with the Blitz Needle or the Cutter series and overpowered noobs.

We either have strong hits with bold numbers or just normal hits with small, plain numbers popping up
