I came up with this idea awhile back because i've also thought the training halls could use a little more training in them. With a Training Hall Practice Arena there are arenas set for each monster family where players can test weapon techniques against monsters that par up with their current tier. I would find this to be a great way to hone in on different techniques that each weapon or armor capabilities. I would find this to also be a great way to train toward different boss runs such as the shadow lairs making it a lot less of a pain to get through the real thing.
