I logged in today and had 100 energy. Went to moorcroft manor and still had those 100 energy. Went down the elevator and when I finished loading i only got 80 (lost 20 energy instead of 10). The difference of 10 energy may be a small number but still its pretty annoying.
Energy Bug
Wow I thought I was the only one. I started a Tier 2 game and I told my sister to wait but she came down too, so I told her to wait at Moorcroft until I got to an Arena level. I had 97 energy at the time, and went down without her. About 5 minutes later, I noticed I had 77 energy instead of 87. At first I thought it was because I left her behind, but now it seems like it just happens for no reason. I have also filed a bug report.
I wonder if this happens if you have less than 20 Mist Energy though? But I have CE so if the bug is still doing it, it will probably dig into my funds, which would further piss me off.
I think this is tied to using the "Descend" button to manually operate the elevator from Moorcroft to Level 9 (or Emberlight to level 19). When you stand on the elevator but there are other players on the level, you can manually cycle the elevator with the down button. This costs 20 energy (in two ten energy increments, one after the other).
If you wait until all players in Moorcroft step on the elevator, the elevator will automatically activate and request your destination (Up or down). Selecting down at this point only costs 10 energy.
Quite certain this is a bug. The only way to avoid this now is to never manually cycle the elevator, always wait for all players to join you. This could be obnoxious if you've been paired up with a group from the previous tier that needs to manually leave for Haven before the elevator will activate.
I have noticed this several times, and filed bug reports with no response.
This happens in Moorcroft Manor and in Emberlight. The elevator to the next Stratum (level 9 or 19) takes 20 energy for no discernible reason. It might be tied to moving on without the rest of the party (because they are T1 or T2 groups who cannot join you), but I'm not sure why that would be an intentional result of that.
