... To have "cross strain" enemies, with both damage and resistance types of the separate monster families? Would it make the game more interesting? Would it make people use more normal damage weapons? Would you enjoy that type of enemy based on it's resistances?

... To have a bomb with catalyzer charge time?

mmm

you mean, resistant to elemental + shadow, weak to piercing? only an example.
well, it could be an idea, it would be like: beast fiend / jelly gremlin / undead construct. but only the first seems nearly plausible.
the others are excluded, because they have different weaknesses.

We'd stll need multiple "cross-strains" in the same level to actually have an impact on weapon choice.

Whats the difference on killing gremlins and lichens separatedly(C42) or wolvers and devilites (hearth of ice) or zombies and red rovers (fsc) than killing hybrids made of them?

In the town where I was born...

Huh. I think it would be quite plausible. Gotta do something with the lab, and seeing as there are clearly giant fluid-filled test tubes out in the lower are to the left of the entrance to the lab... I think it would make a very interesting danger mission as well.

Before the forum robots arrive,

I advise you to move this thread to the suggestions section.
Also, yep, it'd be good to have harder enemies, and giving an usage to non-normal resistant armors.

No one asked this completely pointless question but totally valid question:
-What would happen to damage UVs?

So...

So do you mean like when Gremlin Thwackers inflicted Piercing damage with their axes instead of Elemental? That was fun.

Yeah. I'd love to see cross theme levels implemented. My idea was that there would be a place where you could go and donate minerals to... then they would build you an arcade gate out of them. This arcade gate would have one stratum, and would be consist of 3 stratum themes, which would end up making mixed up levels consisting of mix-matched clockwork tunnel/other levels.

@Burntsouls, I'm not suggesting anything, I'm just asking for peoples's opinions on a question.

would like to see them as

would like to see them as RARE enemy .. a mix mutated of each kind with each kind .. the only mix i never seen in this game is a dungeon with fiend and gremlin.. and if it apear its 2 knd canceling their weakness .. well they will act like the random lumber that spawn then you only have piercing weapons

By "cross strain," I mean an entirely new enemy with traits from two monster families.

Would just like to say

I'm pretty sure that Catalysers have the shortest charge time of any weapon, mainly because you need multiple charges in order to rack up some decent damage. Having a bomb with that charge time would probably end up being OP, since bombs in general cover much wider areas than the Catalyser explosions.

Just a tiny idea

This cross breeding might make a nice expansion, later on. *A screw up happens in the gremlin labs, and a new breed of monsters emerges*
