I like this. A lot.
But the wiki says that it increases melee attack speed, and so does the in-game description.
However, if I put it on, and inspect my own character, it says under the added effects for my guns "Attack Speed Increase: High" and I do notice my guns firing faster as well

If you fix this in a patch later, PLEASE introduce another buckler for gun attack speed increase as well. And possibly adding more special effect shields like the Swiftstrike Buckler?
I honestly don't want the actual shield to change, just the description. I never used it when I thought all it did was increase Melee attack speed, but now that I know it increases gun attack speed as well, I am using it even in Tier 3 (and getting significantly better at surviving with it, too)
I just am proposing that if for some reason the gun attack speed change has to be removed, it should be put on another shield at least.
The shield also increases walk speed while charging for bomb users. High speed bombs get their walk speed increased to almost the same as normal.
I didn't know it did anything for bombs, too.
I have a hard time believing this is not intentional. The shield description needs to be changed.
Edit: I just tested with a proto bomb and I'm not seeing any change with or without the shield equipped. Am I missing something?

This is the first I've heard of anything like this. I just tested it out and didn't notice any difference.
There's a faster atk spd for bomb, movement wise and for the inner circle to reach the outer circle
@Syor: I have done a frame-by-frame comparison of IAS and non-IAS bombs and found NO increase in the circle-to-circle detonation speed with an attack speed boost.
I also did some tests on run speed and found NO difference in speed with an IAS bomb vs. a non-IAS version.
I was using two bombs that had the same listed speed pre-modification, rather than two of the exact same bombs, so there is a chance the results are flawed if the speed display inaccurate -- but the match was perfect enough that I'm convinced there really is no effect for IAS on a bomb.
If someone else wants to test using this shield and disprove me I'd be happy to see it. Kinda sad my IAS: Med toxic bomb is seeming worthless.

I agree it's a bit confusing. Either Swiftstrike Buckler description should be amended or it should affact only melee weapons and new buckler for hanguns ASI should be introduced as Meowreka suggested.
Personally, as an owner of Swiftstrike Buckler level 10, I'd rather see just description get changed.
