So, most of you have most likely played LD with the new update, by now. Some major improvements have been made elsewhere, especially adding in symbols representing different vendors in the town square and bazaar. Unfortunately, there is one big mistake that the update has caused in lockdown.
Recons.
Specifically hammer recons.
For some unknown reason, they made recons actually more OP than strikers now. Their animation when they appear has been removed, for some reason, and now there's ABSOLUTELY NO WAY TO TELL WHERE THEY ARE COMING FROM OR WHERE THEIR GENERAL DIRECTION IS. I used the class, and easily got the highest damage as nobody except trollsar users could hit me except by a lucky shot. This was with a SS and a prismatech mk II.
This means when people use deathmarking and a very powerful weapon(such as the stable rocket spammer and the nightblade and pretty much every other brandish and/or heavy weapon) they can't be seen AT ALL or seen disappearing, until they get hit. This means they literally disappear in the blink of an eye, and they stay that way until they decide to pop back in for the kill.
So, imagine the most powerful melee weapon. The hammer. Now imagine it in the grasp of a skilled recon. Pretty deadly, right? Now imagine that skilled recon with no disappearing/appearing animation. Now we're talking OP-ness with epic proportions. To the point that the ENTIRE GAME may be at stake- I mean, I saw really skilled dusker clones, we're talking shield-cancelling, stun-locking, the whole nine...they got WIPED OUT like NOTHING by this. Champs at the game knocked over by players who have parents willing to spend money to get them a hammer, killing everyone else, who worked hard to get their snarble barbs and pulsars.
Now, originally, I hated the hammer. Then I got used to them and worked around them. But how do you kill something you can't see that can kill you with little to no lag, with 2-3 hits?
And it's not as if OOO is afraid of losing potential recon players who get angry at the cloaks being difficult to use. To be honest, I think more people will quit SK now than ever before, because it is almost impossible to succeed in LD without paying a little, which, in nature, could be described as a cheap way to buy your way to victory. I saw several people boycott LD due to this, me included- after just getting the feel of LD and being a SS striker, this has to happen...just when i start to do well.
So, now that my long-winded opinion has been shared, what do you guys think...should recons, or hammers, or both, be nerfed?

Use a bomb. Problem solved.
I think Recons were due for a buff considering Lockdown was dominated by Strikers before. Strikers now have something to be afraid of that's not another Striker; a Guardian can just pack a haze bomb and protect himself from Recon assassins, and a Recon, well, Bomb CTR max with level 10 bombs automatically, but Strikers have to really watch their back and keep moving.
And that's good. Because Strikers SHOULD be afraid of something, just like everyone else.
This also puts Recon Gunners on a level with Striker Gunners (which makes sense, considering they get HANDGUN ASI MEDIUM), and makes it easier to use a Nitro like a flash grenade as well as area denial (since mindgames are an integral part of any stealthy guy's strategy). This, in my opinion, adds more depth and more strategy to Lockdown, which it's desperately going to need in the wake of the Black Kat Cowl.
I hope people in LD will start using chaos gear so I can shiverlock people.

Using this Wikipedia article as source, we can assume that the average blink lasts 250 milliseconds. Doing maths, we can assume how long a frame is, the time it actually takes for a Recon to disappear.
framerate / 1000ms = length of a frame
60 / 1000 = ~17
In other words, a frame lasts about 17 milliseconds or:
length of a frame / length of a blink = frames per blink
17 / 250 = 0.068
So, a frame barely lasts 1/20 of a blink and you are WRONG.

Also, I believe spiral knights is uncapped, so you could be running it at 1000 fps, and drop that length of a frame number to 1ms. (framerate is not capped to monitor refesh rate, old CS 1.6 players used to play at 1000 fps on their CRT monitors)
Many of the weapons that are commonly used in LD need fixing in my opinion. Nothing is more bothersome than being 2-swing killed by GF/DA/Hammer, or 1 combo (with interrupt I think) of FF. I think the hammer does need nerfing. However I think there are many other things in the game that need nerfing as well.
