If you go for PROTECTION (Shadow + Poison), i think yes, but not sure ... since you'll only achieve Universal DMG Med agains Undead/Fiends.
Or Snarbolax Set?

I use snarb.
Brought four weapons and was able to solo the black kat prestige with no problems. Works fairly well for scarlet fortress and candlestick keep levels as well.
Brought:
Snarbolax Cap
Snarbolax Coat (Pierce/Shadow low double UV)
Crest of Almire (Heat level 9)
x2 Elite Quickstrike mods
Voltedge (Asi/Construct low double UV)
Rocket hammer (5*)
Argent Peacemaker (Gremlin low)
Barbarous Thorn Blade (Beast low)
All in all, i had damage VH and ASI ultra with voltedge, which i use mainly for damage. Thorn blade for fiends and argent because it's easy to use. DA would be better thwn WRH, but I don't have it.
No curse resist, but i negate it by carrying the four weapons.

The prestige mission changes daily between different status effects.
If your me, you go Black Kat hunting with a snarby coat with fire max, shock max and curse low and a Black Kat Cowl
If your not me, Deadshot Set will give you a great overall boost in damage versus undead (which should be where you hunt for kats, if you get fiends, your doing it wrong.)
What I do is a farm only the first level of alone in the dark. and look at me! Black Kat Cowl and 106 tokens.
Deadshot, obviously.
