It's likely the Prize Wheel
It's likely the Prize Wheel chooses a random material but not certain types such as Shadow Lair ones. Really lucky through, i got one as well from a Prize Wheel and still have it to this day.

Well, this has been going since the wheel got released more than a year ago.
People reported it, SL mats are already blocked. If it was a bug it should have been fixed by now. Doesnt seem hard to fix.
