Anyway, Nick said he was the mastermind for the destruction for both species during the war.

So....

Why is the Konjouring Kat the one you have to talk to?
I'm guess he IS him, and the Ritural was a way to get him at full strength.
......The kats used all forms of weaponry considering that the didn't have magic. Until he got it.
Who he conspired with were hit full blast with the dark arts(recorded in the Grimoire) were black Kats and Grimalkins(Malkin means kat in, Scottish(?)).

From what I understand the book is The Book of Grey Feathers and Margel used it to summon the Black Kat. The konjouring kat is probably what is left of Margel after he got infected by the dark energy. So once again we are the evil ones.

I actually never said that

I actually never said that specifically. I said he played a key role, which doesn't necessarily imply intent. We'll be revisiting this story again some time but suffice to say, Margrel didn't want the Kat Tribe to be destroyed. He is however about the unluckiest Kat that ever lived.
