Does anyone now a way to get a good amount of pages without an e-pass?
Just something I noticed on the patch notes it says: Kataclysmic Confrontation is a new event that will run for a limited time but will return again some time in the future.
And it also says : Acquiring all the Kat gear will likely take multiple events.
I think this means that this event will come and go randomly.

Multiple events means it can happen anytime.
It could be an event that happens during halloween, or next year at this time.
In other words, it's to make players keep playing the game in hopes to get the kat gear (much praised for looks) over time when really it's pissing people off now making them want to give up on the game.

Work together with friends. It helps. ALOT. From my experience, if you have it unlocked, running the first floor of 8-1 Weight of Darkness is a good way to find them black kitties, as the place is filled with kats. I've found tons of them there. Also, might be a good time to invest some crowns into some nice ce to run more effectively. Plus, it's cheaper right now.

Good guildmates goes a long way too
We farm this promo in guildies so we are searching on our own and when one finds first, he invites 3.
Having a lot of people with passes helps too :D

Either I have really bad luck or really good luck, not sure which.
Also, join an active guild. It'll help you out a lot.

Most efficient way.
Get 4 people each speed running through (preferably) Mission 8-1 Weight of Darkness. Whenever any of them finds a Black Kat, invite all the other runners. Rinse and repeat. Assuming the chances of any one of you guys finding one on your floor is ~20-25%, the chances of at least one of you finding a Black Kat together is ~80-100% and all you have to do is spend an extra 10ce to get there if you weren't the one who found it.
