I'm a Steam user, and I've never been able to edit the Wiki. After I log in, I don't see an edit tab at the top of the page, and when I click 'View Source', I get the following message:
The action you have requested is limited to users in the group: validated.
I've heard that some Steam users can edit the Wiki, so I was wondering how I can get editing privileges. Thanks!
Go to www.spiralknights.com. Make a Spiral Knights account. Don't bother to download the game, and certainly don't play the game through that account. Just keep playing through Steam. But use your www.spiralknights.com account to log into the wiki and edit. Let us know if this doesn't work.
But to 'validate' your account for editing, you need to send a confirmation email of some sort. Go to your account settings.
...and I do use this method. Except I use my alts in the game as well for business purposes. =)
It's a waste to not use the alt account, so do use it from time to time. Just untick the "Use Steam Account" option when logging in, Spiral Knights doesn't need to be downloaded twice. It can be fun! :D
But yeah, back on topic.
Some Steam users can edit the wiki because they have web account alts. I'm fairly certain Steam accounts still can't edit.
