I've seen them all. All the monsters, short of a Tortodrone, an Ironwood Sentinel, and a Giant Green Jelly. Honestly, I'm getting a bit bored of the usual garden-variety slimes, zombies, and robots. So I have a few ideas. Sure, not likely they will get implemented, but thinking about it and putting it on paper makes it less boring for me. So, without further ado, the monsters:

Constructs:

Hidden Block Bot- A construct that functions similarly to a Rock jelly, but appears in scripted locations and is common instead of a rare encounter. There is a 50% chance that they will be spawn-killed by implosion via a ghost block. However, they will still tranfer the charge to touching blocks, as to not trap you if one were to spawn. There are several different types with varying strengths:

Normal Block Bot- Apperas to be a crate, but when hit or walked to close to, will spring up and attack. (Small legs will sprout and an "eye" will open on the front. This applies to all block bots.) This block bot is weak defensively and the crate on top will break in a few hits, revealing a mechanical cube underneath. The bot will take increased damage when the crate is broken, but will move faster.

Attacks:
-will send out a weak damage pulse when first provoked.
-will tackle the player similar to a slime
-can jump into the air and smash into the ground, causing a stronger and larger damage pulse, as well as stun and knockback. If used when the crate disguise hasnt been broken yet, the crate will break on impact. If used when the crate is already broken, will inflict self damage and self-stun the bot.

Unbreakable Block Bot- Apperas to be an unbreakable block, but when hit or walked too close to, will spring up and attack. Takes reduced damage and the block on top is very hard to break. However, it moves much slower than the normal variant, but does more damage. Will move at normal speed when the block is broken.

Attacks:
-will send out a stronger damage pulse when first provoked
-will tackle the player with greater force (causes knockback)
-jump-and-ground-smash attack. However, it can use this attack several times before the box breaks. When used when the box is broken, effects are the same as the normal bot. It also causes more knockback, longer stun, and more damage than with the normal bot.

Ghost Block Bot- Appears to be a ghost block, but when hit, willl cause all touching blocks to dissapear as normal, but instead of dissapearing itslef, will spring up and attack. Deals shadow damage and moves extremely fast.

Attacks:
-will send out a moderately powerful damage pulse when first provoked
-after this it will get up and chase the player for a short time, then explode in a flurry of shadow damage. Send out 0, 4, or 8 bullets depending on Tier.

Exploding Block Bot- Functions exactly the same as a Ghost Block Bot, but moves slightly slower and does normal and elemental damage on detonation. There is also a timed variant, which will chase the player for longer before exploding and has a larger and more damaging detonation.

Thats all for the constructs, for now. I will make a second post with a different monster family.

" but appears in scripted locations and is common instead of a rare encounter. "

Being rare and random adds a surprise factor. People cant just memorize their spawns and prevent their ambush that way.
If they are scripted they'll only be fun once or twice, until you know their locations.

New Monsters: Fiends

Fiends:

Demon- appears from the ground on top of the glowing sigils found on the ground in fiend levels. You can tell a sigils will spawn a demon when you get close if it has a purple mist around it. The Demon will have status variant which I will edit into this post when I make up creative names. This creature may seem overpowered, but it will be a rare spawn, or a miniboss.

Attacks-
-will claw at knights, causing shadow damage and a chance to inflict [status]
-can spawn 1, 3, or 5 Devilite minions of the corresponding status, depending on Tier. In Tier 2, each Devilite has a 30% chance to spawn as an overtimer. In Tier 3 each devilite has a 50% chance of spawning as an overtimer.
-can shroud itself in purple mist (neutral variant) or [status] mist, boosting the attack power of minions and damaging Knights who touch this mist.
-can shoot 1, 3, or 5 bullets depening on Tier. Bullets have a chance of inflicting [status]

About the block bot spawns-

By scripted I mean within a cluster of blocks, there will always be X amount of blocks that will be bots, but you won't know which ones are bots or not. They are supposed to be a common enemy, but will also have unpredictable spawns. Ex. if you had a cluster of blocks there could be an almost infinite amount of different combinations the hidden bots could spawn in. They can also be spawned directly in provoked form if triggered by some mechanism, i.e. a party button.

New Monsters: Undead

Undead:

Elemental Reaper- A floating ribcage, skull, and arms held together by the power of the elements. Can be spawned from piles of bones in undead and fiend levels. Despite being elemental, it shares undead's weakness to elemental damage, however, it takes reduced elemental critical damage, and reflects a small portion of elemental damage back to the attacker. It has lower damage than most other undead, but it has a much higher chance of inflicting its given status per hit. Just a note, Divine Set will be vvery helpful against this monster.

Attacks-
-claws at knights, dealing shadow damage, also high chance of [status] affliction
-breath attack, does pure elemental damage, will always inflict [status]
-reflects damage, every time a knight hits with a weapon, elemental damage is reflected back by a small portion - 1/2 to 2 pips (note, this is not an attack that needs to be used, it is always active)
-elemental resistance group buff, sends out a pulse decreasing elemental critical damage dealt to affected undead.

New Monsters: Beasts

Beast:

Burrower: A mole or groundhog-like creature that burrows under the ground to sneak-attack unwary knights. Deals high focused piercing damage and is hard to hit, but has relatively low health. Burrowers can be driven out of the ground by certain bombs. There are also status variants.

Attacks:
-ground spikes: While the burrower is underground, it can attack with 1, 3, or 5 spikes, depending on Tier. These spikes have a low chance of inflicting status but deal high piercing damage.
-if cornered the burrower will swipe at opponents. This does low damage, but has a higher status affliction chance and will knockback the victim just enough for the burrower to escape.
-burrow spikes: While the burrower is in the act of moving while underground, it can leave a trail of spikes similar to the snarbolax. These spikes have a moderate status affliction chance and will linger for a while.

I have a bit of an issue wit

I have a bit of an issue wit the undead reapers reflect ability. If a knight has to fight one while he/she low health, he can't kill the reaper with killing himself/herself. remove that, or change it to it not always being active, and i can agree with almost everything you suggested here.

maybe

maybe when he said reflect, he meant a wave of elental damage will be launched from the reapers body, for every X amount of damage.

Well, I myself believe that

Well, I myself believe that they need to bring back old monsters from the beta (*cough* TORTODRONE, slooms, sloombargoes, jelly green giants, vog cubs, kattywampus *cough*), but I have to say, I do like these ideas, especially the block bots and the burrowers. Keep up the good work, these are interesting ideas.
