Currently, there is no information on he two new helms, Black Kat Cowl and Kat Claw Cowl, in the sword master guide. As I do not own either helm, could players who own either piece of equipment critique it here and provide pros/cons, benefits, LD usefulness, ect?

If you want to know about its stats, you could just go to Moorcraft Manor and look at the crafting machine.
The gist of it is freeze resistance, medium negative shock, low negative curse, as much normal defence as class armours have specialised defence and just a little more shadow defence than those have normal.

The alchemy machine only has the regular kat helms, they're talking about the Black Kat Cowl, which can only be obtained(and therefore looked at) by having it(defeating Margrel) or inspecting someone who has it.

Lithiumforest, I said in post #1 that I have Black Kat Cowl. So I wasn't wondering about its stats, which are on the wiki anyway. But you're right in your facts, yes.

Black cowl isnt a swordsman helm. It offers a global bonus, just like Chaos.
The Swordmaster Guide doesn't get updated very frequently. I've added mention of them to my own sword guide. They're hard to get, compared to Skolver and Vog Cub. So they're not highly relevant to newbie sworders.
I don't know the defense stats on the Kat Claw Cowl, because I don't own it and the wiki doesn't have the stats. The +1 offensive bonuses aren't bad, but they're hard to work into an optimized +6 loadout.
I'm fortunate to have a Black Kat Cowl, which is obviously great offense and terrible defense. I'm not sure what else to say. If you're getting attacked with certain statuses, then it's highly risky, like Mad Bomber or Chaos. But it's really powerful, especially if you're not in danger of being hit with those statuses.
