Graviton or Electron Charge? (For T2 LD)

Hello! Being a T2 recon, I was hoping to eventually get a vortex-like bomb for helping disrupt enemies. I also want to be able to do some damage with it at the same time. (Though it's unlikely.) I should let you know that I'm usually a recon but occasionally a guardian.

What I want to know is which one would work better? I know bombers have elemental resistance, but this event has also given many players shadow resistance as well. I already have a Dark Reprisal MK II, so maybe should I get the electron version? (I have the coins for it...)

Oh, and on a side note, I heard that the Charge/Vortex bombs effect the user and/or the teammates. Is it both? Just one? Or have a heard wrong?

They are too small, as any bomb in t2.

3 star vortex bombs are barely usable due to their awful radius, and the DR line isn't much better. If you want a bomb for T2, you're better off getting a Lightning Capacitor or Freezing Vaporizer MK II. A lot of maps have narrow corridors leading south to a point, which make perfect spots to trap inattentive strikers with a freeze bomb before following up with a deathmark -> Sealed Sword charge.

Lizzi seems to do just fine with Super Blast Bomb.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

@Little-Juances

Heh, correct.

@Orbwanter

Hmm, true. However, the annoying thing is that usually the more P2W players (the ones you really want to worry about) usually have wolver (with it's inherent freeze resistance) and/or quicksilver for the shock. UVs also add a twist...I'll try one/both eventually, still. What about stun, btw? The only two things which naturally resist it are Jelly and Plate.

The DR is something I usually use only as a Guardian. When defending a point, I put it down and then bash anything that gets close. One reason I was thinking for grabbing a Charge was so I can pull anything in using it.

Oh, right. I hope they do something about Strikers who dash out of the bomb's vacuum...although I still do sorta want one...

@Zeddy

I'll just leave this here....

3 star armors don't have enough status resistance to hazewalk without a matching UV, Seerus aside, and I've never noticed anyone pack a freezewalking set in T2 pub matches. Duskers will get stopped cold just fine, if they have a high/max status UV it'll be for shock. However, you have to be sneaky about using them, as a decent player will become a lot more cautious about dashing into blind spots after getting trapped once.

I've never been a huge fan of the stun bombs, because the status duration isn't very long once they escape the cloud. I only used mine as a backup bomb for when both freeze and shock fail, which doesn't happen in T2.

As a Recon, use freeze when trapping corridors and doing solo ops like stealth reverting points, shock for large melees. For Guardians freeze is less useful, as you can't deathmark frozen targets and don't have that innate CTR to lay out a big spank before they escape, but you could use it to block persuers and give your shield time to recharge.

Do note that my opinions come from hybrid Recon play in T2 as opposed to dedicated bombing, so results may vary if you're looking to do that. I usually pack two swords, a cryotech alchemer, and a freeze bomb.
