The Sealed Sword Line: Alleged Speed

I use a Faust and an Avenger and haven't noticed a difference in their performances since that can't be explained by level differences. However, I took a look at the speed bar for my swords and noticed that my Faust's speed is allegedly much higher than my Avenger. What the hell is going on? Why is it that I can't see a difference in speed when the stats say otherwise? Are the stat bars wrong, yet again?

The bars lie, time and again. All you can do is swing your sword as much as you can in 60 seconds and count the swings, then compare it to another sword.

The stat bars are nice to look at, but don't really mean anything.
Avenger=Faust Attack Speed.
