So I was in tier 2 arena alone because I decided that I would redo my proto (armor) Dauntless Diver (I don't know why felt bored I guess). Completed the 2md room with no trouble BUT I noticed that the danger level had no dot. Is that because of my 5* weapons. It can't be the proto armor right? If that were the case the game would give me a purple eye.

The game averages out your
The game averages out your armor, shield, and three most powerful weapons (or is it two? Also, possibly trinkets). You can see the average underneath your character in the Knight inspect window, next to "PvE". It should show your current Tier Rating and a progress bar to how far away from the next Tier Rating you are.

Armor in this game pratically means nothing when you can spam 5* charges.

If I understand your question, then you are correct. Your difficulty level indicator has no dot most likely because you are carrying 5* weapons, especially in Tier 2.
