The nightblade just seems out of place to me in the brandish family, not because it is a shadow weapon, but because it is a katana style sword, if it was removed fro the family, we could possibly expand this katana style sword family, but then they would have to change the charge i guess, because it would be too "brandishy", on one side it a a great weapon line that fits in with the other brandish family members, on the other hand, it is a katana, and if they use up the katana in this family, that weapon style can not be used anywhere else.

kind of a strange idea, but i would still love to hear all of your opinions, constructive criticism is always welcome ( i am expecting some)

It's fine. Alchemy "reforges" weapons which gives a chance to get uvs and what not. it's like taking an old blade and making a new one. I feel it should stay where it is due to the attacks and charge being similar to the branish seiries. The art may be different but that's just astetics. art love.<69

Though I wouldn't mind more shadow weapons~

Having both paths on one weapon makes UVs more viable and is good for you.
Say you get a gremlin UV brandish... elemental paths are useless with that, but it could be good in a nightblade.

Sure it seems out of place aesthetically, but there you go, an argument agaisnt it.

All brandishes should have their own line. I don't see Alchemers or haze bombs sharing a single easily rage-craftable 2*.

All non-normal Brandish swords used to look like katanas once. They was restyled when their 5* versions were introduced. I don't know the reasons though. I like them all being katanas.

BTW, Haze bombs used to share the same 2* - and personally I liked it more that way then it is now.

1**. Haze Bombs were 1*. Which is why I disagree simply because the value of a good UV would be extremely low and everybody would get CTR med Hazes. On the other hand, CTR is the only useful UV on them. That means approx. 1 in 80 (10 per 800 energy) Haze bombs have good UVs, which is not a lot anyway.

@Oatmonster, what has already been said in this post should be noted.
Anyway, I think it might as well be the other way around, i.e. Alchemers and Haze bombs share a common first incarnation. No 1* ones though, I dare say.

"Oatmonster, what has already been said in this post should be noted."

What you said in your post didn't have any relevance to what Oatmonster said. He's saying Brandishes shouldn't converge at 2*, you're saying why Haze Bombs shouldn't converge at 1*.

"Anyway, I think it might as well be the other way around, i.e. Alchemers and Haze bombs share a common first incarnation. No 1* ones though, I dare say."

I disagree, I'd rather we add more weapons instead of removing them :/
Keep shockburst and fireburst on the same line. Move iceburst to a seperate one.

Idea!

Nightblade should be removed off the brandish line... The rest of the brandishes being kept, and a new 2* piercing katana sword, having a less speed than a brandish but a endless combo and a new (calibur charge) spin (hatchet charge) around then smash charge attack... Nightblade series move to this series along with another line for the new katana.

3* Bleeding edge, katana with increased damage and high poison chances, along with red strains of (what seems to be) blood on the katana.

4* Heavy katana, Bleeding edge with stun chanche and higher damage, the katana looks bigger and still got the red strains of "blood".

5* Murder blade, Heavy katana with stun being replaced with sleep (we need weapons that cause sleep), more damage and it having green strains of poison instead of the red ones and the katana looking sharper and a little bit smaller.
