Battle Sprites. I thought that the idea was cool, so I decided to start this thread for some new Battle Sprite ideas. Currently, there's three Battle Sprites. Lets think of more!
I already thought of one:
Porcupipinous
This Battle Sprite resembles a porcupine, just like the name suggests. And, when the knight is attacked, the Battle Sprite will in turn damage the enemy with the same amount of damage inflicted on the Knight, and also with a random status effect!
Battle Sprite Suggestions
Battle Sprites will provide activable abilities with cooldowns. Not passive attack companions.
And come with 3 powers not jsut one. Status and damage are applied thru equipment isnetad of random.
One ability would be for a 4 hit combo on your sword for a little bit.
Another would be a speed boost.
The last would sacrifice a little bit of armor, in exchange for a x1.5 damage bonus.
why dont we wait till they get released until we start making suggestions?
One for every boss:
Jelly sprite
puppy sprite
etc
We will get WHAT?
Battle... battle sprites?
Why, in the name o' feetal's gizzard, would we need those? :-/
Since presumably all Sprite abilities will be activate-able, why not change this a little bit to make it active rather than passive?
-Porcupipinous's ability #1: Creates a reflective shield around the caster, or a targeted friendly, that reduces all damage taken by 75% and has a 50% chance to reflect damage back for 50% of its original value, with a further 50% chance to inflict a random status effect (excluding sleep and curse).
The Porcupipinous would only be useful if you are bad at dodging or like getting hit on purpose to give them damage (I'd still rather dodge). So I guess this sprite would do best with laggy players since dodging can be hell for them but even then they still have their shield.
But since this thread posts about ideas I would love to have a quite dark sprite that could mind-control certain monsters with his 1st power (bosses wouldn't be able to be controlled obviously) so that they start attacking other monsters. Like some monsters with a weaker mind would be able to controlled easier and monsters with a stronger mind are near-immune to it. It's 2nd power could be that the player would summon an aura around him for a limited amount of time that could inflict sleep which could be handy. It's 3rd power could be the ability to buff the party when the player is inflicting damage... the more damage per second inflicted the stronger the buff would become also this would only be active for a limited amount of time.
All stuff involving the mind
1: Mind control of monsters making them attack other monsters
2: Aura that affects the mind of monsters making them fall asleep
3: Mind buff of the party making them stronger with every damage they inflict
So I guess the sprite would be a mind controller ;)
i like how dragon is thinking... so here's mine
how about a "healer" sprite that heals your team like a gremlin mender would, but outside of a monster house or boss fight, at a rate of 1/2 of a pip of health every 15 seconds, otherwise, in a monster house or boss fight, heals at the exact same rate as a mender on that particular tier (however, they cannot revive, like the T3 menders can)
now... most likely it would be a butterfly or somthing smilure.... but why do i have a feeling it would end up being a kat?
@ klipik: I would give 25% damage back, and it must del normal damage only. then it's fine. think of wolfers: it would be killing them getting half the damage with piercing.
@ dragon: mind-controlling stuff: 1 is fine if it has short duration. 2 must have a chance below 50%, and sleep heals the monster, remember it. 3 is a no. mini jellies would mean berserk damage.
@ yukimare: no healing, thank you. it would get everything too simple.
They haven't released the update and you're already suggesting new pets, chill, chill.
