Heat question

I'm not new to this game, but I have a heat question that I have not seen an answer to.

On the wiki it states: Everyone gets every heat ember picked up.

Does this include dead players? If, say, an alt dies on the first monster of a depth, does he get as much heat as the knight that stays alive the entire depth (not counting the 30% that is lost upon revive)? I think the answer is yes, but I don't seem to get much extra heat when I revive said knights.

If I understand correctly...

Dead players do not get heat. Their heat is lost when they die. However, when another player revives them, that person is given their heat back, but the reviver receives 30% of the heat that player had....

I think.

That is how I think it works. It's a little confusing that the wiki says heat goes to everyone. It would be cool if someone who knew for sure would come post a response... like Nick, or Eurydice.

Yeah...

I'm fairly positive about that, but what I'm not sure about is if the dead players get the heat picked up while they are dead.
