"Playing" with a guild-less 5* Vanguard 50k prestige knight who usually stands around AFK at the auction house. You tend to get a lot of unrequested guild invites. So since there's nothing better to do in SK, I went around and joined them all and recorded some basic stats for each of them.

Please note, some guilds actually talked to me before sending me an invite, and those guilds tended to have higher quality people. Here's the list, please excuse the formatting and lack of sorting. Anything in ( ) are random comments. Active means they had at least one person around when I joined (8-9 pm pacific time/arcade cycle time). Very active means they had a lot of people on for their size at the time I joined.

I wonder how many of the guilds with default halls which you were not able to join were hoping to find new members to pay their bills, sent invites to random people anyway, and never even discussed the invitation with whoever is unfortunate enough to receive the spam. I also wonder what happens when two snakes learn how to sing duettes but that is a silly experiment for another day.

If you want to clean up these lists try using unordered lists:

{guild name}

{# of members}

{list of GMs}

{current treasury}

{upkeep}

{next guild stuff}

At the end of the lists end with a
to close the very top tag. This comes out to look like this:

  • {guild name}
    • {# of members}
    • {list of GMs}
    • {current treasury}
    • {upkeep}
  • {next guild stuff}

Now how fun was that? I bet it was a ball. Or two. Or two getting kicked. You know, like a couple soccer balls sitting in the grass innocently until someone runs up and punts one while the other shrieks in ball related horror as its younger brother is now trapped on the other side of a fence or something. Why did you do it? That ball had a family. What will its parents say? What would you say at the funeral? That you thought it would be fun? Was it worth it? Did you get your sick kicks out of it?

It exactly is me. What a coincidence.

You haven't joined them all...

Tectonic is a big, pretty famous, guild, owned by Ron-Star. He'd let anyone in. It's pretty big, too.
There's my own guild, the White Lotus Society. Tiny, insignificant, run pretty much by me alone
A fair amount of the largest guilds that exist aren't on there.

Fair point, you've done a LOT more research than anyone else in SK to my knowledge, but if you're OCD like some people, you'll have to say: Gotta join them all!

Of course the established

Of course the established guilds aren't there, they don't go throwing invites around randomly.

Ok, but...

Doesn't this violate the privacy of guilds? It is not like I am against any kind of researches...

Did you even ask for their permission to post these stats?

Probably not...

@Dragneel --- We usually have a semi-updated list of the players in Eos we list all the players with their current rank. As far as our money goes well we can share that information, but we rather not since well no need to show our financial statements lol. As for activity we are usually active Monday - Thursday the weekends not so much since most of us are going out enjoying a game called real-life. We tend to usually have more people on Mumble than Sk. Example last night we had 10 online Sk, but 16 on mumble.

@Cross: I appreciate your private small "battle" started against the massive guild invitations spam in haven. What about some basic stats about unrequested frieds requests? (Idk what's privacy)

Have you tried "Hamsters"

Have you tried "Hamsters" yet? We have 159k upkeep and we always hover around 140 members.
Our guildhall is open to public, if you wanna take a look at it.
We kick inactive players who don't play for a 3 weeks or more, and regulate our community with only mature, well-mannered players.
We're big in FSC, 30 minute vana runs. Some of us (like me) are making an appearance in Lockdown. Occasionally, we do shadow lairs, in which we split the price fairly. Guild masters are: "Sess-san" and "Sanctionx" Check us out!

One thing that's always

One thing that's always bugged me, is how do almost guilds differentiate themselves from each other? They all claim to be the following:
-Does Vana, and other boss runs all the time.
-Occassionally do Shadow lairs
-Full of nice and friendly people who are "cool" and like to "chill out"
-Play lockdown sometimes.

Am I missing anything? Isn't this the generic recruiting message of almost every guild?

Though to be honest, it's really not their fault, the way 3 rings designed things, there isn't much opportunity for differentiation as it is.

On that note

As far as I know, my guild does not really promote anything. We just want people to play with. That was really my personal goal to begin with. Log on, find people for a PUG and have a blast.

And just to update your list, our Guild has over 1 million crowns banked right now. :P
