I'm calling it the "Radioactive Rose Regalia."

Basically, the idea is that the Gremlins are hatching a plan to make radioactive Rose Tabards and Chapeaus and we, the knights of Spiral Knights, have to stop them. So there'll be some big mission or something, and once that's over you, OOO, will make some energy event or something for us knights to buy replications it or said regalia.

My suggestions for their names:

Tabard of the Ultraviolet Rose (25%)
Chapeau of the Ultraviolet Rose (27%)

Tabard of the Gamma-Ray Rose (20%)
Chapeau of the Gamma-Ray Rose (25%)

Tabard of the Planck Rose (2%)
Chapeau of the Planck Rose (0.999%)

Fencing Jacket (0.001%)

Now, this even would either involve prize boxes or have the standard Rose Regalia prize system. Yes, I know that pixels are incapable of accurately representing these colors, especially since we can't see them, so OOO, just go to town and make them whatever colors you want. Personally, I'd like the Planck one to be grey-themed.

Anyone else have thoughts on the subject?

@Little-Juances: OOO does stuff and then sells them to us. Look, this is physics. I can't just come up with ideas to make it make more sense.

The Rose Regalia sets exists both in a state where we have to destroy and have to buy them at the same time. We can't really know for sure until we open the box but we don't wanna' kill the cat that's in it, either. :\

I think I know where this was from. Do we get mecha knights dressed in the chapeau and tabard during the event? I guess it would sorta fit in with the theme I think. Possibly.

@Canine-Vladimir: The Knights of the Rose are mysterious figures who enjoy shouting at subordinates, eating dumplings, and wearing mink coats. They are not heroes and are reviled for having clothes that cost well over 1 million crowns.

@Unstable-Ordinace: were you on when I asked about Planck Tabards on the guild chat? Hm... I think the Mecha Knights and some of the construct enemies should wear Chapeaus, as well. Good idea!

So OOO is selling us invisible clothes now? Why does that sound like a get rich quick scam to me?

Or can us knights see outside the visible spectrum?

Planck what? Temperature? Distance? Can we have a Tabard of the Inch Rose now? Maybe a Chapeau of the Muon Neutrino
Rose?

@Oatmonster: A Planck Ray is all the way at the end of the spectrum, past Gamma Rays and Cosmic Rays and all that. It has a wavelength of 10 to the -35th or whatever meters.

Oh ok, thanks for the clarification. I was confused because a Planck length is rarely used to describe wavelength and I am almost certain "Planck ray" isn't actually a term. That's almost like saying "inch ray."

I think you've also mistaken what a Cosmic Ray is. A Cosmic Ray isn't a form of electromagnetic radiation, although people used to think it was. Cosmic Rays are made up of high energy particles, which unlike the photons that make up say radio waves, do have mass.

On "Planck Rays": I am aware of that, but couldn't think of what else to call, it, and since it is the most high-frequency wavelength that radiation can have, it seemed fitting as the rarest item for the event -- apart from the Fencing Jacket.

On cosmic rays: ...Crud. I thought it sounded funny, but I didn't feel like making sure. After all, it was just one post. I have to stop reading old physics books...

Why would Gremlins be making invisible clothes? To show their bodyparts?
And if they really make invisible armor/hat, OOO would need to make a 100% knight body, not just the face and some black gloves. PERSONAL COLOR EVERYTHING, KIDS! RAAAGH

Doesn't solve anything. Let a dead event die. More Roses, less interest. Get the story?
How many vanguards/ and/or people with a 45k prestige badge did you see wearing costumes that aint rare and unique? Like frosty and hallow?

And still, why would gremlins make a bunch of clothes worn by Spiral Knights? Why would the knights want to stop them? Just because it's new colors? I agree. Loses interest, right. But then, a few days after the event.

@Infernoburner:

1. This thread wasn't supposed to "solve anything." If you refer to how the coloring of these will work, I can suggest other colors that are not currently in use. I already said grey, and we currently use different shades of pink to represent all the invisible spectrum of light.

2. Your second section doesn't make sense to me. Can you clarify it?

3. Uh, lots of 405k+ prestige players wear simple armors. Do you think they only wear halo'd Wolver line hats? And Wolver line armors with Prismatic Valkyrie Wings?

The Fencing Jacket is there to troll people.
