Just wondering. I've found threads about strategies for LD, but few, if any for specific teachings on tricks you can do in LD (like specific switching weapons or advice on 1v1 combat). Also, I've found plenty of gunner threads, and some (though not many) swordie trick topics, I rarely see bomber ones. So... is there still a need for one?

Talk with Zeddy in-game or here, he is the best bomber in LD.

All it takes is Striker Dash, a Swift Flourish, maybe some pendants, and sometimes a load of luck. Therefore you are now a pro. Go figure.
For bombing? Bring Shock/Stun/Freeze hazes, plus any long-lasting bombs such as Crystal bombs/DR lines, or even long-fuse bombs (such as Deconstructor?) On top of that, bring Pierce/Ele/Normal defence gear and heat all the bombs, then go Recon. Throw in a couple pendants too.
BTW For T3, you might consider damage bonus armour sets/trinkets. The above applies to T2.

There's always ground to cover in LD, though the lack of new weapons has set the metagame into a relatively stable state (flourishes, big swords, hammers, pulsars)
There are always weird and trippy sets though, and it takes a good player to effectively use them.
Tips an tricks, not so much.
New strategies? go for it!
Not too difficult, just don't expect lots of damage.
-Crystal bombs: I used these just after then nerf (agh, they were a lot better before), but the idea is to carpet the point with as many crystals as you can. Since their fuse isn't a gigantic red circle, most people will either stay away for fear of getting hit or rush in and get knocked straight back out again.
-DR lines: Drop as many bombs as you can. Most people, however will rush in: then, use the bullets to your advantage. They interrupt all attacks. Just keep them near that circle for a little, and you can just sit there and knock them right off again.
Be warned: 1 DR won't do much, because either people will stay outside on the point or will go into the centre of it, receiving no damage. Try to overlap them.
-Deconstructor: Theoretical, never used it before. People, except some cocky Strikers, don't rush into a fuse even if it's a while to go yet. Be warned: Meet a Striker with a sense of timing and you're doomed, but those are few and far between anyway.

NOOOO!!!! ARGH!! If anything there's only one way to SWORD! Don't all you people GET IT?! The reason why there aren't bombing guides is because they're UNDERPOWERED!!! There very IDEA that it's even POSSIBLE to bomb as effectively as it is to sword in Lockdown is simply ABSURD!
@The OP: Try the Elite Bomber Thread, maybe?
@Zed: I myself have a fair amount of experience using the DR -- like the BAB (as I explained on guild chat), it's a deterrent. If you can just keep at least 2 rows of orbs between you and a target, they will a) not be clever enough to realize that it won't deal very many purple pokemon cards to them and b) interrupt most shields and sometimes attacks.
Not really, bombs are simple to use (there's really only one way to use them). If anyone was to make a pure LD Bomber guide, it'll be about what bombs and what gear to use. If you're talking about a hybrid bomber then you're almost certainly talking about how to use guns and swords moreso in conjunction with bombs than actually using the bombs themselves.
