I find devilites to be medium difficulty and I can solo devilish drudgeries without any trouble.
Although tier 3 jellies are supossed to be easy I have a lot of trouble with them. I use a voltedge and an argent peacemaker.
I remember doing scarlet fortresses in the kat event and finding the jellies harder than the kats. Ice cubes are very bad and completely destroy me.
It's weird because for most people its the other way around. Any suggestions for defeating jellies with my current gear?
Edit: I have a vog cub helm and armor.
This is weird moo.
Bring shadow type weapon and you are good to go. (for more easier)
Voltedge change to Acheron
Argent Peacemaker change to Sentenza
Btw, Jellies are easy. You can guess what the next attack will come.
I swear the Kat event made we worse at fighting Kats. /sad
It's a good idea to bring two weapon types if you only have two weapons. Bring a shadow weapon for gremlins and your voltedge is fine since slimes are not weak/strong against elemental. If you don't use any other weapon slots (like me) bringing two weapon types is good because your first weapon could deal strong blows to one monster family and the other weapon could deal average amounts of damage to all the other types.
It is weird.
Slimes, especially jelly cubes, are easy to defeat but you need to take it slow, and I end up dying in their hands a lot because I just have to defeat them immediately.
I think I've been downed by Jellies just as much as I have been by Devilites.
i dont like T3 Jellies cuz of their attack. i always get countered.
i prefer Fiends over them.
I got no tip cuz i suck bad at it. I think its about timing and time shielding.
It's all about the timing. Definitely don't try to circle-strafe a Jelly Cube; their attack hits 360 degrees around them. With swords, it's sometimes best to let them come to you, and watch your combos around the little boogers.
Ice Cubes are easy for a bomber, because the Fiery Vaporizer line removes their spikes and does extra damage to them. Ash of Agni crushes them. Combuster and Firotech charges are also good for the little jerks. Any Shadow weapon will do well on most to all slimes, even the Dark Matter and Rock Salt bombs. And the Suda and Triglav are always decent, and always a whole lot of fun, too.
Slimes are dangerous to approach, but except in a few cases (read: Quicksilvers), it's easy to tell where they're going to go. Use that to your advantage and lure them into your Charge Attacks.
never finish combo if you can't flinch them (cancel their attack charge). You need probably a damage bonus and/or the right attack type (shadow) to flinch them. Otherwise, just hit (or spam charge) and run (or shield) with first (or second) swings.
Pffft please, Combuster all the way baby, just charge that sucker up and you're ready to go <3
Just use argent peacemaker always, to make peace with those things. They are really bad at attacking from far away from what I've experienced.
elemental vs jelly?
everyone i play with use elemental vs jellies
everyone i play with die
@ quake: please rephase the last sentence.
voltedge and argent. mmm. if you have trouble, shield bump, retreat and charge one of the two. voltedge if they are near/ spiking you and argent if you have time.
T1 jellies are the ones that you should really be worried about! In T1 Danger Rooms, they become really troublesome, especially in a full party. I'm only a skillful player because of predictions. My Answer to Devilites is a Blitz Needle. I let my party be my tanks, and then I come in with the charge attack of the Blitz, and I hit those suckers at a One-Hit K.O. point blank body shot!
Jellies, when you see the yellow attack pattern, it means pearcing attack is about too be done. Just take a step back when you see this (it actually works and despite how obvious it is, no one does it)
also for cubes, watch for dark parches on the ground, spikes will fly outta them.
devils, I really hate it when team members shoot them because the tend to dodge projectiles and since they also dodge while attacking, it means they may change their course of attack and kill someone else in the party. freezing will help controlling these little minions heaps
Jellies are surprisingly difficult because of their highly aggressive attack pattern. It's very predictable, but so frequent it's difficult to go macho out on them or get a decent amount of hits in before getting smacked back.
I'm fairly sure Jelly Cubes actually have the highest DPS out of all the monsters. (Mecha Knights and Devilites come in a close second)
C'mon Larry, how long has Leafblader been saying "moo." in subject lines? Does it surprise you now that its in the thread name?
Shield bump and swipe. Scarlet Fortress does have a lot of space, so Voltedge charges are great. Argent to finish them off. Predict their attack when they charge.
Bring a fire weapon for Ice Cubes?
Swap your shadow protection with piercing?
Use bombs?
Edit: Oh current gear. Group them up and spam Voltedge charges.
