Hi, here are some odd suggestions on how to improve the Mining Hat.
Abilities

- ☆☆☆☆☆: None
- ★☆☆☆☆: Small (+1 piece)
- ★★☆☆☆: Medium (+2 pieces)
- ★★★☆☆: High (+4 pieces)
- ★★★★☆: Very High (+6 pieces)
- ★★★★★: Maximum! (+8 pieces)
This new ability would grant one (or more) Crystal when picking up a chunk of mineral. However, the bonus cannot exceed the amount of crystal you're carrying. For example, if you picked up a Medium-sized crystal (2 pieces), the bonus will only grant 2 more pieces at most (for the 2* and up Mining Hat).
Stats-wise, it has nearly non-existent protection against normal damage, even for the 5* version. This would make a great new item for players who enjoy doing challenging runs in low level gear (e.g., proto-only, no shield, ssb, etc.) which don't require protection.
Disclaimer: Does it make gathering crystals unbalanced? Probably not, since nearly nobody ever deposits their minerals anymore, now that the arcade is dead and accessible directly from the Missions panel.
Would help out Guilds who build the Clockwork Levels.
