Yesterday at firestorm citadel i was helping a friend and he started dissing my gear and cursing that my gear sucks. I explained to him that I needed the piercing defense because of beats such as wolvers that are fast compared to my Divine Avenger. Can somebody please tell me why or if this gear sucks?

Wich one? Anyways, protection agaisnt wolvers and spikes, on a level full of fire and zombies was a bad excuse.

because

there aren't any wolvers in firestorm. Sure there are some spike traps, but the majority of the stage deals fire, normal(trojans) and shadow(slagwalk) damage. If you get set on fire and dont have resist, its pretty much a death sentence.

And if you keep dying and your friend has to rev you because you refuse to wear something that protects against the major forms of damage in Firestorm, He's most likely going to be mad since he has to spend his HP to keep you going.

But I didn't die, like i said i had the Divine Avenger and the piercing defense was for the spike traps, and he died more than me.

Then you're fine.

If he's the one dying all the time, why are you worried about your gear?

EDIT: Yeah. Slipped my mind. I don't even notice them, normally. There aren't many, though. majority is fire, shadow, normal. With some elemental from turrets.

You should still prepare accordingly, though. the myriads of slag walkers and fire-themed traps are more dangerous than the piercing.

Rude.

TBH, the oiler are two few and really only dangerous due to fire.

In all general, you should be getting Fire resistant gear. Not like i care about that, i have bombastic demo suit.

Wolvers, Unless mixed with something that preoccupied, you shouldn't have an excuse to get hit by one. They were nerfed a year back.

Ever fought a tracking Wolver?

Skolver would give you sword damage.
Virulisk would give you pierce defense and also more damage against the oilers and blast cubes.
Even mercurial at leasy would give you speed.

Unless you also want to argue you're worried about a trojan stunning you. Well, Justifier would give you handgun speed, with pierce and stun defense.

Royal jelly has a little (meaningless) extra defense but that doesn't compensate the lack of any offensive bonus. It's a bad set overall (but better than Azure)
