ASI on blitz reload?

Recently, I have been doing FSC runs often with Ezho and mustachio alt, and have come across something interesting (it might have been stated before, but idk). When I held both the attack and shield button after releasing a blitz charge, the reload animation for the blitz gun was completely skipped, allowing me to move sooner and charge my gun again more quickly. The only other time I've seen this is with an ASI on blitz.

*please note I am using the regular ingame controls*

So... I was wondering if this was a glitch in any way?

It's working as intended. ASI speeds up reload speed of guns.

Ever wonder why some people use Swiftstrike Buckler in FSC?

Ah, I think you might have

Ah, I think you might have misunderstood what I was saying. I have no asi on my blitz, yet the thing I did (hold attack and shield after releasing a charge) allowed me to skip the reload animation, as if I actually had asi.

and I didn't have a swiftstrike on.

So, I still need an explanation for this.

It sounds like you somehow

It sounds like you somehow managed to shield cancel away the reload, which is something that generally isn't possible on guns.

That said, holding attack and shield after releasing a charge does not allow me to do this, so I'm not sure what's going on. Can you repeat doing it consistently?

Yep, just did it again on

Yep, just did it again on another run with Ezho and his alt lol. It should work for everyone. Maybe your configuration for keys is different than mine.

The gap youkai is confused.

What comes to mind is maybe your lagging so that the reload animation is not seen from your monitor. I have yet to try holding the attack and shield buttons at the same time.

No,no,no lol. Ezho has

No,no,no lol. Ezho has confirmed with me that I am skipping the reload animation. Again, it must be the specific key configuration.

Klipik, you must be new here

What reload button?

I can confirm that shielding during a Strike Needle charge cancels about half of the reload. Also, chain-charging works as well.

Maybe not be the same thing but could be related

If you hold attack to charge without shielding it normally does one attack animation and then goes into charge. If you hold shield down then press attack (with shield held down) then release shield (attack button still held), The weapon will skip the first attack animation and go straight into charging.

In the first example (no shielding) having asi will speed up the first attack animation thus getting into the charge phase quicker.

.

I think many have missed the point ( some did but most).

He is saying that:

When he releases his charge, there is NO reload animation.

@Op is this using keyboard controls?

Yes, it is keyboard. The only

Yes, it is keyboard. The only keys I'm using for attack and shield are z and x. After I charge up my blitz, I release my attack button. Then, I quickly hold it down along with the shield button. When last shot fires, reload skips, and I can charge again and move as well.

(again, I have no asi whatsoever and no ctr either. I'm in a full shadowsun with a crest of almire shield and not using AT if anyone wants these facts)
