Watch out for (player), he indulges in trolling/harassment in quite a ban able way, the following states his possibly ban-able actions;

I was trying to sell my Argent Peacemaker asi high for 2 days, I had finally come across him and we agreed to a deal of 14kce,
Although I didn't have the funds to unbind it I asked if he'd lend 4kce he depicted me as a scammer, I had brought poetry along a trusted honest member of the community to vouch for me, we were depicted as scammers.

So I tried getting a loan from one of my friends, grugwasasailor, the agreement being I pay him back as soon as he buys it.

Note: he was afk for maybe 6 minutes at a time he'd move claiming his comp froze I'm sure it was a form of trolling or persuasion.

I had unbound the item, we traded, he jotted the ce in, I the item and he just logged off, it was clear at first he had trolled/harassed us putting into account his previous actions. We waited for 20 mins still he was dc.

This had a harassing/trolling effect on me and Grug, the effect being ban-able, note he did swear/inappropriate adultery language,
I advice any seeing him to not bother trading with him thank you!

GM note: As per the forum guidelines, naming and shaming is not allowed. Please use the in-game complaint function to report such occurences when they happen, as that enables us to investigate scamming. Thanks!

LOL

I was standing there when this was going down. How funny to see that is how it turned out. And to think Poetry had to vouch for you and (see note re: naming and shaming) was the one who screwed you over. LOL

Ever heard of the 'no naming and shaming' rule?
Pretty sure this thread is ban-able as well

  • File an in game report.
  • Don't call people out on the forums.
  • Do not lend anyone stuff to start a deal. Always trade using the in game UI. If you or they don't have the item yet, then don't trade.
  • Don't deal with suspect trolls. If he freezes for 6 minutes at a time, then walk away.

I wrote support last night.

I wrote support last night. This wasn't merely trolling, it was scamming, whether by the traditional definition or by Three Rings' own interpretation.

He didn't pocket the currency, but he deceived two players into using the CE in a manner that they otherwise wouldn't have; if he hadn't agreed to purchase the item, they would have never used the CE to unbind it.

That is a scam.

He gained their confidence in order to defraud them. And by definition, it doesn't have to involve personal gain, it can involve merely causing damage to another party.

Naming and Shaming is bad,

Naming and Shaming is bad, and you should feel bad. Also, I don't know why you are telling us this, we aren't GM's, we can't do anything about it.

I don't see why naming and shaming is so bad, they deserve it if they actually did what was reported.

Well you see Larry, there is this thing called "Libel" that we try to avoid here. We don't know their side of the story, do we?
