I have noticed how it is rather difficult to find armor/helms with the SPECIFIC variant I would like on the AH (looking for a med fire magic cloak/hood). There is no current search function on AH to allow me to search for the specific variant in addition to the specific armor/helm/etc. I know people might call me lazy for not going through the list, but sometimes there are many (and I mean MANY) of the same armor/helm/etc. with a variant on each. Just last Saturday, there were over 60 magic cloaks on AH, each having a variant.

So, my suggestion is: please add another variant-specific search function to the AH in order to simplify the search for the armor/helm/etc. a person would want.

Perhaps under the subcategory

Perhaps under the subcategory of "Variants". It would allow you to type in the type of variant. I probably need to think a bit more about the placement though. The AH screen is kind of crowded xD

Sounds hard to implement...

In my opinion, it sounds like it would be hard to implement, it searches for keywords, and 2 searches are just colliding.
I have no problem with this and browse through the variants.

Filters tab to the search

Filters tab to the search thing, eve-online has its own serch tab menu that you type in what you are looknig for and has search filters built in. The only thing here is... They cant even get the search bar on the forums to work right, you want them to add more features to the AH search?
