Since I've played Spiral Knights, I had an awesome time.
Anywanys, is there way I can post an announcement on the chat board? I mean I have to use "/trade" to make a speech. You people...I mean fellow knights might have seen me or have read the chat board. I randomly do small events (thought I plan of doing something big later on) and post task for everybody to do.
Like example: "If you're the person FIRST to find me online. I'll give away 200 away or charge less for current prices" and sometimes I hide somewhere to wait.
Thought this would be fun. Hopefully, I don't cause a ruckus and get kicked off. This no SCAM plus this coming from my own pockets. Out of the goodness of my heart, I create this little games for everyone to see and jump into if they wanted too. No, I'm not made out of money. Don't add me because you think I'll give away stuff. I can always turn into a mean jelly monster.

now i just don't play enough to get anything decent to give away.
another fun thing to do is say 'first to click trade on me gets something, then run around in a generally confusing manner, making it hard for people to click trade on you =D. i once had 8 followers madly clicking everything.

This is a nice idea to support, irregardless of prizes or not.
In the game, you could play interesting trivias, which may or may not be related to the game.
E.g. What are the ingredients to make Gran Faust? ; What is the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow?
Aside from trivias, Hide & Seek is a common thing to do.
Then, alternatively, common forum board games are: 3 Word Sentences *Make up a story*, Hangman or Green Glass Door

I'm sure it'll be innovative and provide for some fun time for knights wanting to rest from the clockworks. =)

@lufte I think it's fine to post it in /trade if he's giving a discount or offering mats for free. You can think of it as selling a mat for 0 cr. I think most of us traders would want to know about it.
Although if the game is to have people click on you while you run around, then it makes more sense of course to just say it in general chat, since people from other havens won't stand a chance.
You should use /zone or /z for non trade related announcements.
