I just upgraded my Blazebrand to a Combuster and it lost its Medium charge time bonus. It has had this unique variant since it was a brandish, but for some reason it didn't carry over when it became a combuster? Was this supposed to happen? I'm sad and confused :(

Nope
You just lose your heat. Upgrade your Combuster to lvl 10 and you'll have the CTR Med again.

Yes, I made sure the box was checked. When it gets to level 10 I'll post again to tell if I got it back or not. Thanks!!

The CTR medium gained is
The CTR medium gained is *not* a UV, and so won't be preserved on upgrade. UVs have an *amber* box, as opposed to natural bonuses which have a *cyan* box.
Did you make sure you checked "Transfer Unique Variant" when you were upgrading?
