Not sure if this belongs in technical support or bug report, because I'm not sure if this a technical problem on my end or if it's a bug with the forums.
I tried to do a search for it, too, and was only greeted with "Validation error, please try again. If this error persists, please contact the site administrator."
So um...yeh. As of late, I've had to "validate my account" in order to post, and I'm not sure what's up with that. I validated my account the day I got it, and I've only been having this problem recently. What's more, I click to "validate my account" again, and am brought to the "My Account" page, where it says nothing about needing to validate my account.
I only managed to be able to post again by changing my password and/or "updating" my e-mail address. My issue is that this has happened like, three times in the past week or so. And while I have something of a temporary fix for it, it's kind of a nuisance, and I don't know if it's going to get to the point where I'm not able to do that anymore.
I had something similar happen. It took me an hour to figure out how to be able to post. It told me I had to go validate my account to post, so I did, and it worked fine, but I still couldn't post. It still said my account needed to be validated. So I did what was in this thread and changed my password and updated my email address. No go. So then I saw another thread that said that his account worked after he validated his account again. So I went to the validation email and followed the validation address a second time. Despite the web page saying that my account had already been validated, doing so again fixed the problem and now I can post.
Hopefully it isn't a recurring problem. There's no telling how many people can't use the forums because of something like this.
