Does the game have to go through the download process every time i log in? Ive only logged in twice and both times its made me sit and wait for a download.

Also, ive maxed the graphics setting...game looks decent for a browser game but one thing stikes me as odd. This game gets my GPU all fired up as much as a dx11 game on max settings...why does this game go crazy with my GPU and get my card all fired up? Its nice for a browser game but certainly nothing that should be getting a gtx680 so hot.

Also, since i kind of stumbled on this game, and hopped right in due to the oldschool zelda like appearance and gameplay (somewhat at least) i have no idea what the games really about, what to expect later on, and what the purpose of guilds are.

Any insight as to what i can expect should i stay a while?

Welcome!

You can also play this game through the Steam application. Personally I've been playing it on Steam and I prefer it to the browser version (mostly due to Steam enabling audiochat in game as well as a few other functions).

As for explaining the game, the game goes through a basic how-to-play and storyline when you first start playing (beginner levels and intros to missions and how things work). If you want any clarification in game then you can add me (Adamosaur in-game username) or you can ask around.
The thing I enjoy most about this game is the social element. Being able to make guilds, socialize, and help other players (with teamwork especially) makes this game to replayable IMO and is why I've been playing it for so long.

This isn't a browser game.

Maybe you should post this issue in here

But you download it on your browser just like Minecraft.

If you play it through your browser, then your browser should keep it in its cache, so that it does not have to download each time. If this isn't working, then click the separate "download to my computer" link, or whatever it's called. As others have said, the game is really a stand-alone Java application.

Also, ive maxed the graphics setting...game looks decent for a browser game but one thing stikes me as odd. From what I understand, the game is written in fairly high-level Java libraries, that may not be as efficient as some of the other C/C++ game engines you've played. Therefore the game will tax your system more than you might expect. In the Options, try setting the graphics quality to Low.

The most important thing I can say is: At the start, the game requires no skill whatsoever. But as you go deeper into the dungeon, you have to dodge, shield, and maneuver carefully, based on your knowledge of the monsters' AIs. So the learning curve is very well constructed, I think. That said, even at its toughest this game may not be difficult enough to satisfy really serious gamers.

The other thing to watch out for is humor. There's a lot of funny tidbits hidden in the weapon descriptions, in the Heart of Ice mission, etc. The game doesn't take itself too seriously.

The early missions (click

The early missions (click missions at the top of the screen) should get you mostly up to speed on how the game works.

A few other tips:

Alchemy takes energy and materials, but is a lot cheaper than buying items from merchants.

If you're looking for a specific weapon, or materials or a recipe, try the auction, you'll usually find what you want at somewhere in the ballpark of reasonable.

Travel with allies. If you die, they can revive you without you needing to spend energy.

Progress int he game is tied to your gear. You can't access the lower floors until you have good enough gear, so try to get 2 star gear when you can, as it opens up the next set of floors for you (which give better loot).

In combat, watch and adapt. Learn when to shield and when to run. The game isn't too hard (especially not early on), but the Danger Rooms...Oh gosh the danger rooms....XD Great rewards, but they get frantic and insane.

Lastly, don't be afraid to chat with people, especially if you're on a run with them and you're at the start or end of a floor. Make friends. :)

Have fun!
