HTTP 502 explained. This is

HTTP 502 explained. This is unlikely to be a problem with Spiral Knights but actually with a server your internet service provider routs your connection through.

Sometimes using the DNS flush

Sometimes using the DNS flush command on Windows can resolve this.

Press Windows Button + R to open the Run box and type ipconfig /flushdns. Then hit enter.

502 in download but not in browser?

I'm getting this error only in the downloaded Java app. If I start up in the browser it works fine. If it were a problem with my ISP as suggested above, I would think it would work (or not work) regardless of the client. Any thoughts?

Using Mac OS X Snow Leopard, latest updates.

The browser and the client

The browser and the client work differently under the hood, so there could be a real difference in how they connect to the servers.
The Mac client has been having issues lately, have you already submitted a support ticket?
