When using a multi damage type weapon, such as piercing and elemental (the Argent peacemaker, Silversix, etc.), the weapon does not critical hit on enemies that are weak to wither type of damage. For example any undead enemy takes average damage when shot with the Silversix, as though it only deals piercing damage, but the weapon again only does average damage when used against Fiends, as though it only does elemental damage.
As well, though I'm not sure if this is intentional or not, but the weapon deals resisted damage against enemies who are weak against one but strong against the other: beasts take lessened damage from the weapon, which makes sense in terms of the elemental damage it deals, but not in regards to the piercing damage, which should be critical.
Am I the only one with this problem? it seems kind of pointless to use a weapon that does 2 non-normal types of damage if you don't get any increased damage benefit from it, but rather only take the disadvantages of the damage types.
I'm fairly certain this is a display issue, as the super effective hits DO deal more damage if you look at the numbers, and vs wolvers, even with small text, it does a normal amount of damage.
As an example of the wacky graphics, I know that vs small purple jellies, my divine avenger has an extremely strange display issue, and deals a normal hit as the first hit, but what looks like a super effective hit on the second hit, even though jellies are normally effected by elemental and normal damage. Try not to be too disconcerted by what appears to be a weapon that never hits super effective.
