As the GM of a guild that Jemp continually destroys
I have to say, they don't always spam their polarises. Ruby et al are generally very gracious vs guilds that aren't top tier. They never 3 or 5 cap us, even though we can tell their level or coordination is such that they easily could. While i can beat some of their members 1v1 about half the time, they are so seldom alone that it really doesn't matter.
I give full credit to Jempire for how they have played against us, and while i know some people have issues with them for their polaris walling, they are still quite good, and they play as a team.

Even if I did get my team beaten sorely by Jemps, Ominous, Impervious, and other guilds...
I have quite the amount of respect for pretty much all those guilds, as well as their members. I have NEVER, in my entire LD history, ever seen a Jemp brag. That's an impressive thing, considering that the Jempire might as well have earned their bragging rights. I've seen a lot more of players belonging to smaller guilds, as well as non-guild players, brag.
So when I'm looking at the name "Spampire", or anything that mocks the Jempire, I feel very disappointed. It's just like seeing a group of sore losers still trying to bad-mouth other competitors, even though it might be correct to say that the enemy team is superior.
Of course, the Jempire, Ominous, Impervious, and the other guilds have always been very good competitors, and I don't deny the fact that Jempire will probably lose 1st place on the leaderboards.
So I'm not sure why are people choosing to pick on Jempire for every little thing they do. I mean, don't other guilds, other teams, also do the same thing sometimes?
Of course, I also have respect for the players who aren't bragging, regardless of their skill...
But I question those who brag: "Do you even have the skills to back your talking up? I don't see it on the leaderboards..."

Jempire plays lockdown for fun. Spiral Knights is not a skill intensive game, and Jempire is not a omg l337 pr0s1lllss guild, it's a collective of friendly people who often enjoy playing lockdown.
Notice that Rubyeclipse doesn't stoop to this level and correct such misinformation. Notice that other GMs do find the need to repeatedly criticize a guild they have no relations with. Children, please.

I don't think anyone thinks you waste hundreds of CE on revs every game or even most games. I don't even think it would be a "waste" since the whole game is just a kind of fun waste of time anyway. I might consider spending using hundreds of thousands of CE to get triple-max gear or ASI VH/CTR weapons a waste, but that's just me.

Speaking of misinformation, Ruby doesn't stoop to this level because he was banned from these forums long ago for what I assume was stooping to a much lower level, but I don't know the exact reason. If I'm guilty of spreading misinformation about that, though, he can easily demonstrate so.

We all kind of have a relationship with each other in this game, which is why we get upset with and criticize one another from time to time.
