For weapons, we have charging, right?
So I have proposed (might have been said before), that there are levels of charging, and you get to higher levels by charging for longer.
Level 1: The current stuff
Level 2: It glows orange, and it does 33% more damage, and slightly more knockback.
Level 3: This is where it gets funny:
Guns:
antigua line: shoots faster
Pulsar Line: bigger splash damage
neutralizer line: fires 2 bullets
magnus/blaster line: 75% more damage that original
Swords:
brandish: extra explosions
sealed sword line: another projectile sword
striker: 3 more hits
calibur: more damage
bombs:
haze/blast line: bigger radius
shard bombs: 1 more mine
Any ideas anyone?

Charging is already overpowered. You want to make it MORE overpowered? Isn't this game easy enough already?

Indeed one regular charge can 1hko most things on normal conditions.
What would be the point of a super calibur/blitz/brandish charge?

Normal weapons restriction
Think about it, pure normal weapons with "overcharge" could create the boost they need...
Except for pepperbox... Until autoguns finally be brought in line, it doesn't need more power.

Weapons are already far too powerful, and this game is too easy as it is.
before all, you are giving much more valuing to the charge bonus reduction on weapons, underpowered and overpowered ones
one by one:
on bombs can be useful, because we only can throw them while charged
but the time must be greater, like "the next levels is not affected by charge bonus reduction" and "2x more time to reach charge level 2 and 4x more time to reach on charge lv 3" because the game doesn't need full screen Nitronome each 5 seconds
on swords... no, already have tons of overpowered swords here (except the heavy non-sealed line swords, maybe)
on guns... no... overcharged blitz is not funny
unless you design some guns to work by this way, that type of weapons doesn't need this
