Hey! Planning to go Ice queen this summer...Have 3 months to craft some thingies to get through it easily.
Can you give an advice...what shall I craft or what weapon set shall I take.
Thanks!
Ice Queen
Have you read the wiki page "Shadow Lair"? It gives broad outlines of what gear is desired in each Shadow Lair. Maybe read there, and then ask more specific questions here? You've told us nothing about yourself --- for example, whether you're a sworder, gunner, or bomber, or some mix.
For example, if you're a sworder then Skolver is the obvious armor. If I recall correctly, the only monsters in the Shadow Royal Jelly Palace that aren't slimes are lumbers and silkwings. Consider Warmaster Rocket Hammer for both. Shield-cancel after the second stroke of the combo. This technique is also quite strong against polyps.
Agreed with Bopp.
As far as I've seen his another thread about FSC set, he seems to be a sword main hybrid. And he already has Skolver set.

Big thanks,guys! How about=
Combuster
Gran Faust
Sentenza/Polaris(help me decide)
Ash of Agni
Skolver Coat
Skolver Cap
Barbarous Thorn Shield
Heart Pendants?
And Eclaium,Im planning to get myself gunner stuff now :)
This loadout is excellent. Gran Faust will help you keep slimes at bay, and Ash of Agni (or Voltaic Tempest) can really help.
Take Polaris instead of Sentenza; the knockback can help you manage crowds of slimes and lumbers. Combuster is fine. Its DPS against lumbers and silkwings is good. But you may not have many opportunities to charge it, and WRH will out-DPS it in regular attacks if you shield-cancel well.
I'd take offensive pendants. Heart pendants aren't bad of course, but you're going to have a +21 vitapod or greater, so the percentage increase from heart pendants won't be as big as you're used to.
The gun choice depends on what you would want to use guns against.
If you dislike going close to a lumber, or want to take out turrets safely, then Polaris.
If you just want to take out slimes from a long distance, or you like the fast 6 shots gun type then Sentenza.
Combuster could be replaced by Voltedge too if you are making AoA. The Shock status would help you to control crowd. However, Combuster will have a greater DPS than Voltedge.
As Bopp said, WRH is effective to take out turrets and lumbers/Silkwings. However if you are not sure how to us WRH safely, you would run into ice traps which are the worst type of trap in the game (because once you get on them you will not be able to get out unless you have a remedy or party member to take off the freeze effect).
Also I would take offensive trinkets too. Bopp already said about 21 vitapod and there aren't as many heart boxes as there are in FSC. Monsters don't drop a lot of hearts either. So you wouldn't be able to fill up your huge amount of healths with 21 vitapod and heart trinkets. You can fill up your health before/after the boss but hey, who needs a huge amount of health in that boss? It's basically THE JK.
Heart trinkets will be very helpful in first few rooms until you get 21 vitapod. And I personally think that the first party button room is the hardest room in the whole run. However for the reason above, I recommend you to replace your heart trinkets with some offensive trinkets.
The offensive trinkets can be:-
Sword ASI Medium Trinket
-Depends on what sword you are going to use mainly. If you are going to use your GF(or WRH if you are taking it) for main damage source, this trinket is definitely the "best"
Sword CTR Medium Trinket
-If you are going to use your Combuster(Voltedge/Acheron/DA whatever sword that is awesome at charge) for main damage source, this is an excellent choice. But CTR Medium UV'd Brandish is not as expensive as ASI Medium Sealed Sword so you may buy a brandish with CTR Medium (UV or higher).
Bomb CTR Medium Trinket
-Depends on the party you are in. If there already is a bomber, you wouldn't need it. But you may want to "spam" Ash of Agni to stop Ice Cubes to use their Thorn Attack(basically spikes from the ground). When an Ice Cube melts by fire effect, it stops using Thorn Attack.
Make sure to tell your party members not to use their Glacius Charge/Hail Driver/Shivermist Buster when Ice Cubes are melt. Those weapons will refreeze them again.
Bring 4 bombers to IQ run. with at least 2 polaris.
What about Voltedge instead Combuster, because I already have recipes :/
Ice cubes are weakened when burned but shock can still prove usefull since they clutter together.
Fire is enough with Ash of Agni.
Also Fire+Shock adds more extra damage n shock interrupts jellies, which is not possible without shock since the jellies are immune to Freeze and Stun status.
Ash of Agni makes IQ run A LOT easier.
Other weapons can be either shadow or elemental. It is similar to Royal Jelly, it is just harder and freeze status so you can bring same stuffs as JK.
Fire weapons help the run a lot. So AoA, combuster, magma driver, pepper box are very good there.
Basically you should wear piercing and freeze resist, shadow weapons. There are lumbers that are vey annoying and take long to kill with shadow weapons so you could bring one elemental weapon preferably fire elemental weapon to deal with them.
