But do not know of his real in game name. I tried "JDavis" not sure if that was him or not or whether he accepted but I would like to befriend him. This is probably the fastest way of doing that, so I'm just going to have a go at it and will graveyard this post in the near future.
I would like to make friends with Bopp in game
Why are you adverse to people trying to add you as a friend from the forums? You seem alright and I think it would be interesting to go on a run or two with you...
I said above: "On the other hand, people tend to pester Bopp --- good-naturedly, or trolling, or whatever --- and I'm glad that no one knows my real identity." I said on my wiki page: "I keep these knights separate, so that conflicts from one world don't spill into the other."
In other words, I sometimes get tired of the social interactions --- good and bad --- and just want to play in peace. Based on my experiences with Bopp and my other knights, I suspect that maintaining multiple separate accounts helps.
There's not much more to say, and I don't like vanity threads about players, so I'm going to stop responding to this thread now. If you want to talk to me, try editing the talk page for my wiki page. Happy travels.
I do not own the knight named Jdavis, but I do own the knight named Bopp, and check his mail occasionally. When you sent him mail, I think that I responded in the game, pointing you to my wiki page:
User:Jdavis
As that page explains, Bopp never plays the game and has no friends at all; he just works the forums and wiki. This compartmentalization is a bit paranoid/weird I admit. On the other hand, people tend to pester Bopp --- good-naturedly, or trolling, or whatever --- and I'm glad that no one knows my real identity.
You are one of a small group of people (Fradow, Trying, Donkeyhaute/Lancer Knightz, Zeddy, Darkbrady, Aureate, Dukeplatypus, Antistone, Exasperation, ...) that I interact with regularly, and praise occasionally, on the forums and wiki. That's as close as you get to me in Spiral Knights. Cheers.
