Every time you kick someone because they have a quality you do not like (no inspect, odd set, 'wrong' armor, looking too fly) that does not drastically or even minimally reduce their effectiveness as a team component, you are killing the game for yourself and your future enjoyment/ability to get pick up groups will be limited, because these people will remember your name and will join groups that respect them, leaving you to wade through levels alone or with people that are less experienced.

Be respectful, please. people don't -have- to play with you. Allow them when they chose to, especially if you need them.

Getting a kick from me is as rare as finding a Darkfang Shield.
all of us were once noobs. I say "give him a chance to prove himself" and if the guy messes up here and there, ill tell him what to do for future occasions.
(even though, there are some mean stubborn players that sadly, do have to go.)

I actually never knew people got kicked because they don't have inspect on until a few months ago when a started a random party and this person asked me if I was going to kick them. I inspected them and saw that they didn't have inspect on. I was going to ask why but I didn't care enough so I just hopped on the elevator.

I actually have been kicked before but it was while I was loading so I don't know why.

I almost never kick.

Sometimes, when I'm in Moorcraft Manor, and some person is being exceptionally slow, I'll go to the elevator and invite another player who is also waiting so that we can start the party without them. That way, they don't lose any energy or crowns but the people who are ready don't have to wait so long.

I've been always respectful ever since I started playing. Even if they beg to get revived and i'm in a big fight I rev them. Sure I don't type cuz I don't want to die myself but yeah, if no one revs the party i'll try and stay alive or find hearts somewhere. I even drop health capsules and whatever else they need.

If someone is being rude to me I send them a private message explaining what they did was wrong.

Sometimes you may be surprised at the quality of lower-starred players. I recommend questioning them first before kicking them.

I haven't had to kick much either. I find noobs amusing. A lot of times when my noob friends join and it's something they're not good at like fsc, they realize they suck and leave themselves.

When someone's being an idiot they're usually the party leader anyway so I go solo.

I got kicked as well

"Sorry, Knight Elite only"

I was getting bored of soloing the first 2 JK levels on my own, and this is the first party I come across. Bet you he was a scrub too, had only the standard Cobalt equips on.

Pick up groups only exist in FSC and Jelly King dood. R.I.P Vanilla SK; i regret all of the bad stuff that I have said about PUGs.

Been taking another break from SK from its lack of content after 2 years.. but one of the last things that I might of enjoyed was playing with pugs. Showing newer players how to do things or how many FSC pugs never thought of using electron vortex with their swords making the whole run about 2 times faster.

Honestly you can just use an electron vortex anywhere with your sword of choice and make everything much faster. I don't really remember kicking people either. Some peoples' egos do get a little too big on a game that has been nerfed countless times so children can beat it though.

@ WodanctI wouldn't say

@ Wodanct

I wouldn't say children, since they are the better players; it's for the older folks who aren't big hardcore gamers, they can't keep up with the monster AI performance. Weellllll, actually, it applies to everyone. More general players than hardcore players; age doesn't really matter, it's just the dedication and time put into the game.

@Wodanct and Kitty, that depends on your definitions of children. I know this is a 13+ rated game, but you can't honestly expect everyone to follow that rule. The game has been nerfed so that the people who are below that age threshold can get through it. Most of the better players are teenagers such as myself. (Not that I'm a better player, I'm just a teen.)

On topic, I rarely kick people but at the same time I can hardly ever find randoms to party with anyway.

It really depends on how I use the word. In this case I did imply the young players. Thought sometimes when I use the word children I speak of people's maturity levels.

Well...

I only kick if they are a TRUE detriment to the group. For example, a T2 guy who joins an FSC party. Honestly, someone like that should get kicked. Peeps like that mooch off other people's hard work.

This is exactly why I hate guildmates BEGGING for a KoA invite.

If you cant access the mission yet, you're clearly not strong enough. At least you could take the clockworks like we all did back in the day.

Oh kicking...

Times I've kicked people:
1. When someone insulted a friend of mine.
2. When someone wouldn't get pick up on of the huge minerals. (Kicked at the end of the level.)
3. When someone would not get on the elevator because they wanted money.
4. When someone walked past my corpse and got on the elevator while I was dead. (I was in a grumpy mood that day so I kicked them at the end of the next floor)

Times I've went solo while leader:
1. When someone kept hitting the switches in the Roarmulous Twins' fight.
2. When someone went AFK and I didn't much enjoy that group anyway.
3. When someone spammed a weapon that was bothersome.
4. When someone was whining and I wasn't in the mood for it.
5. When someone demanded a tab. (Actually, I tabbed them then went up then just redid the mission because I could)

Times I've been kicked:
1. When I joined a PUG.
2. When a knight who thought I was lying told the leader to kick me then went solo because she didn't.
3. When I took too long to load.
4. When the leader wanted to invite a friend.
5: When I got the biggest mineral.
6: When I wouldn't rev a knight.
7: When I picked up a health pill.
8: When I wore Chaos/Cowl to Vana.
9: When I fought without a shield.
10: When I didn't tab them.

I feel like writing down a personal name shaming list that no one will ever see. It'll be nice to actually document who in all kicks me or is unpleasant to play with.

I got kicked once for not tabbing someone at D26 fsc. Finished rest of FSC myself.. but yeah its a joke what some people can do. Should be something against those that beg their party members for tabs and them kick everyone when they don't get one.

Every other time I've been kicked is pretty much when joining a pug and I get kicked before I even load. Which is fine.. when I decide to play I actually enjoying helping puggies beat Vanaduke. That is of course unless they are some t2 player that shouldn't even be on the map. Why can't Three Rings make it so players that aren't able to make their own King of Ashes party can't join a random one? Would be too logical?

-Random player/friend tries to join someone in KoA-

"You do not have clearance for that mission yet!"

..What's so hard about that?

Kicked:

  1. Depends
  2. Justified
  3. Justified (damn beggars)
  4. Justified.

Solo:

  1. Did you SERIOUSLY go solo DURING a boss fight? I'd not risk dying during loading unless it was my first life and it was really bad.

Been kicked:

  1. Unjustified. People who don't lock the party are jerks. At least say something first!
  2. I have no idea what to say about this one. They kicked you AFTER the whiner left???
  3. Unjustified. You can TELL people are loading if they don't have their weapon drawn
  4. Only justified if they tell you first
  5. Unjustified. That's just idiotic!!!
  6. Depends on the situation. Some people are just bloody impatient. Usually I kick people myself if they revive twice while I'm standing right in front of them.
  7. The only way this could be justified is if you had 3 pills, they had zero, and they ASKED for a pill and you said no.
  8. Actually I could consider that justified. I personally don't like people who take Swiftstrike. But I rarely kick them just for that. However, some people are VEHEMENT on taking the worst gear sets imaginable (Royal Jelly armor+crown with Aegis, for example. Hell, just the aegis shield is bad enough)
  9. I would kick you if you left your shield behind on purpose.
  10. Unjustified. Greedy jerks.

Fortunately, in most cases, all you lose from getting kicked at the end of a level are minerals, heat (which you'll be maxed a majority of the time), and fun. I don't really NEED help in most stratum, but having someone there makes it a lot faster.

Actually, from what I've seen, going solo make you invulnerable while loading so there is no risk of dying in any boss fight just by going solo.

I generally use a shield unless doing something easy and I want some practice or a challenge. (Usually on Royal Jelly or normal prestige missions.)
Also, you may not like me since I use Chaos in danger missions because it's either that or Ancient Plate set.
I always drop a pill when asked and I have one, no matter how bad of an idea it may be. XD

The worst thing about being kicked is usually the fact that I wanted that darn heat; ah well, soon I'll get to the point where I've nothing left to heat.

Speaking of heat. People who kick you because you won't suicide for them are jerks. In fact, killing yourself in itself is stupid, I don't care who "needs" heat or not, they need to learn patience and WORK for it.

I'll only ask for heat when doing arena or FSC with friends, and 80% of the time then I still don't ask they usually have to offer it.
