Wow

No Radiant Pulsar? No Magma driver? We'll just go back to basics...

Pulsar, obvious easy area denial. Shock on Polaris will help in some instances, but the kb is where people can be more reliably screwed up. Decent damage, easily causes you to rely upon it.

Valiance, good general purpose, quick-hitting sidearm. Rarely a main weapon due to it's mediocre damage vs. other guns.

Alchemers are powerhouse guns, period. Fast hits, hard hits, and nice status dealing for particular lines.

Antiguas are something to ping people with, capable of hit-locking with the proper delay involved on it. Large magazine means lengthy control time as well. Good for adding to an onslaught. Bad for trying to eliminate the target quickly.

Callahan's the unloved stun-dealing hand cannon that doesn't really have enough damage to justify its existence, but some people have found the stun worthwhile enough to keep around.

Actually, hail driver is

Actually, hail driver is actually useful in LD. You won't usually have to worry about more than one enemy at a time, and you can FREEZE SKOLVERS! How awesome is that?

Also callahan is basically THE anti-trollaris. And the stun is just the icing on the cake! It's fast (the bullet is, anyway) AND powerful, both of which are very important in LD.

hmmmm...

i put this here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CLoxbrcEwA

i think its hard to master the callahan+ alch tech since you have moving gun and stopping gun.
things you need to consider is:
-good aiming&lead aiming skills
-good position skills (mostly because you need to shoot the callahan that stop your movement)
-good perdicting (milisecond lag compensate and the unperdictable human thinking(unless they keep on doing the same thing like monster in clockwaork))

Oh, you guys.

Storm driver --> Team weapon, damage
- Shock animation removes invincibility frames which makes it the prime weapon for situations when multiple teammates are attacking the same enemy, or for the fastest switch-shooters. The removal of invincibility frames makes the charge a great gambling weapon for OHKO self-ricochets.

Hail driver --> Solo weapon
- Freeze is easily broken by teammates, but buys you enough time to charge or use a stronger weapon. With max CTR, it is possible to freeze --> GF charge on non-Skolvers.

Polaris --> Team weapon, control
- Arguably easy to dodge, but the large bullet graphic and slow projectile speed makes it important for control.

Valiance --> Dueling weapon
- Range to fight Polaris, but poor ability to fight multiple enemies. Knockback interrupts striker dash, and 3-bullet clip makes it useful for quick spreadshooting. Can kill Skolver strikers in 3-5 shots with Deathmark.

Sentenza --> Utility
- Range to fight Polaris, but its attack speed suffers from invincibility frames - the delay forces you to shoot slower, which counteracts the 'balance' of low bullet damage and fast attack speed. Great for shooting down bombers, since charge animations are non-interruptible and don't have invincibility.

Argent Peacemaker --> Utility
- Does everything Sentenza does... except bombers tend to have elemental defense (makes the gun less effective)

Callahan --> Utility
- Support weapon when using charge (firing into a group from below). If enemies are sitting too close together near a guardian, a charge can OHKO the shield. Aside from this, it can work as a kiting weapon for Strikers. Also utility because pretty much everyone has piercing defense, so why use an ineffective weapon?

cheers
- the original recon hate driver.

I know, they still can't break the ice. Have none of you played LD?

You baka, oatmonster.

Let me set it straight for you.

Teammates can the break the ice on frozen ENEMIES. Of course team members can't free other frozen teammates.
English isn't even my first language, and I understand it better than you apparently <_<

Idiot.

You can't break YOUR team's ice. You can break your party's in CW.

Example:

John can break Jack's ice effect in PvE.

However, he can't in LD.

Wow. Next time, try thinking.

Let's make this clear on what Seiran said:

^Yes you can

Let's make this clear on what Seiran said:

Say you are on Team Red. You get a hail driver and manage to freeze a Blue Team Guy, (lets call him Blue guy) in place. If another team red guy (aka your teammate) attacks the Blue guy, he gets unfrozen.

sorry for the mini necro, but yes, I meant your teammates have a higher chance of breaking your frozen enemy free.

Ex: I have frozen a non-skolver, and I can use a max CTR+Damage Gran Faust charge before my prey can get out.

My striker teammate will run in being all "HERPDERP HE'S FROZEN!" and break him free with slash 1 of a Toothpick.
Smooth.

It's not a very good weapon in an uncoordinated team, but hail driver's freeze is basically a free kill 1v1.
