You make your best money on the last couple depths in a tier. In order to get the most out of each run I was wondering what are some good locations to aim for on your last couple depths in a tier for crowns?
Locations I've found that are great for crowns:
- Arena's
- Jelly Farms
These two locations rock because of pure monster count.
Not there yet. Trying to farm money in T1 so I have the gear to move onto T2.
What do you still need for t2 access?
Of Tier 1, probably the arenas and graveyards would be my choice for lots of baddies.
The Jelly Farms are awesome, I'd compare them to the Jelly Palace in T2. Silver Rook is going to scroll off soon, though, and unlike the Palace, there's no guarantee of Jelly Farms.
Graveyards are decent, and so are arenas, but nothing beats the Jelly Farms.
I agree with the farming of Jelly infested areas, they are a blast. Heres what I do (even though this can get risky): I let the ones that merge combine into the big spiked fast one, i proceed to kill it and i get a ton of loot, not just crowns but heat and items too
Damn, so Jelly farms are the big T1 jack pot. I guess I will have to aim for Arena or Graveyards as the last couple depths once the Silver Rook cycles out.
Any other places comparable to Jelly farms other then Arena or Graveyards?

Is there a way of knowing when Danger Rooms show up? Because those are mega profitable, and in T1 super easy. I usually count a couple sparks, some nice mats, and 600-1000 crowns, at a cost of 3CE for the room. I've heard rumours of actual pre-made gear dropping from the chests at the end, rarely.
If you look at the Gate Map and look at the little icons scattered through the depths, any one that looks like a square with part of a gear in it will almost always have a Danger Room. Maybe even always; I usually don't check them out, but I should think about doing so in Tier 1 (at least, upper Tier 1).
Clockwork tunnel levels will be the ones with danger rooms (they come themed as well.. i.e. wastworks, cooling passage) but they don't always show up depending on what layout is generated. ajericho is right in that they do have gear icons but watch out for deconstruction levels which are NOT clockwork tunnels which have the same icon (usually white gear but not always). Deconstruction levels are the large rooms with gremlins and the locked gates.
Are the danger rooms worth it in the first few depths? Since the drops arent as much per mob and it costs energy to get in + lots of time to kill all the waves if its Gremlins with Healers.
If it is worthwhile then I should aim for gates with lots of arenas, clockwork tunnels, and jelly farms!
Before gate rotation, the jelly gate had an extremely profitable tier 1. You could easily get 2000+ from the levels even before basil. And then there was another chance for an arena/graveyard iirc.
Yeah, if you timed the gates and let them rotate in your favor you could easily get 5-6k per T1 clear in crowns alone. On top of that you have all the materials.
@victual I always do them just for the 8 treasure boxes behind the gates. If you can't make it through without dying though it probably is not worth it. The 3CE always pays for itself but 8-18CE will probably stretch it a little thin.
