While searching for my spiral knights crash information (my game crashes to desktop for no reason without an error message) i stumbled upon a section of files that contained a certain folder called "pet", in this folder consists data and information about the 3 current pets and 1 fourth pet that hasn't been announced yet. Its file name is called "Proto" so i assume either is some sort of mechanical being or its just a prototype file they used to develop the pet function. This doesn't tell us when the pets will be released but it does show that they indeed are working on them and that some key file functions have been added into the game already.

I think late would be an understatement. This would be like showing up to a funeral 3 months afterwards, or showing up to attend the birth of your child a week later. Anyways, there are some things in the files, yes. Should you be telling everybody about what all is in there? No. Doing this is like the equivalent of a doctor telling an expecting mother what gender her child will be when she wants it to be a surprise. Point is, we know it is already in there, but we should not be talking about what exactly is in there.
