So, I'm not sure what is causing this issue.
As of recently, I've been experiencing some pretty bad framerate lockups. It makes me so aggravated to the point where I need to restart the Spiral Knights application but I don't actually want to log off. From what I've observed, this problem mainly occurs if your Knight is presently in a run or in a lockdown game.
To step through the process:
First, I minimize my Spiral Knights application and open up my System Monitor (Linux equivalent of the windows task manager). Or I do sudo killall java in my terminal session.
Then I boot up Spiral Knights and attempt to log in. Most of the time I'm unable to log in if my Knight on the Three Rings server is in a run, or at the end of a lockdown match; my most prominent examples. Essentially, my screen freezes.
However, which is really bizarre, I can log into my alternative account just fine on the same computer system. I'm wondering what is causing this problem?
I'm a Linux user.
Could you please try sending a bug report after you fail to log back in and one after you log in with your alternate account? If you send the bug report by pressing F2, even before logging in, it will be able to send the previous session's data still. Just make sure to put something in the report that easily identifies you (knight name works great!). This way we can have a look at what might be causing the initial slowdown or if there's a client side reason for not being able to reconnect to the same knight session.
