a lot of the time I play T3 lockdown, and right now I only have 4* gear. not a single piece of 5* gear, which is why I never go striker because I need the extra health, and I notice that pretty much everyone else I see uses striker. I know that the striker is the backbone of a lockdown team, and I know that it's the best choice for serious PVP players, but I think there are just too many. more often than not I am the only non-striker. there are people that actually have less base health than me that only go striker then die repeatedly. I just want to say that striker isn't the only pvp class, and other classes are essential to teamwork. what do you think?

That would mean you can...
The problem isn't that too many people use striker, it's that striker is both the easiest and most effective, meaning it will always win in 1) a 6v6 versus a team of even skill 2) a 1v1 versus a player of equal skill. As long as both teams' skill levels are to the point where they can use each class to its maximum potential, which is extremely rare.

^My answer to this would be a big fat nope. You could have a group consisting of only Recons, Guardians or Strikers that work well in unison. Not saying the other classes are bad, just saying that teamwork depends on the players, not the class that they're in. Though you can argue that having a group consisting of only Strikers "might" be better on average since they're more likely to come together at the same time than a Recon/Guardian who has to play catch-up with teammates.
