Simple Suggestion: Fix GUI Icon Depths

This one has been on my mind for a while, and It's likely not even that difficult to fix.
Currently the minimap sorts icon depths by when they were created: Icons that are created first get buried underneath later icons.

Instead, it should be:

Player Icons are always on top
Monster Icons underneath Player Icons
Intractable Icons (Sprites, Gold Keys, etc) underneath Player Icons
Level Icons (Such as Elevators and Locked Gates) underneath everything

Of course, amongst each category, newer icons can be on top.

EDIT: Gold Keys/Sprites should probably be on top of players when being carried, or maybe have a coloured ring around them to display this.

Noklip, no offense, but you need to be in the General Discussion section more often. It has to do with the new UI update.

Oops, my bad. I just assumed it was about the old UI. It doesn't say anything about the new one in the OP.

Well I noticed it becoming more of a problem when I saw the new image. If a swarm of monsters is crowding around a dead body, you won't be able to see the player on the map, driving me to finally make a thread about this problem.

Reasonable, though we have yet to see if party members are burried. If not then there wouldn't be a problem, as the own character would always be in the middle of the map.
(Not trying to start something new in another persons thread, but am I the only one sad at the lack of a clock in the UI?)

You don't specify whether mob icons would cover keys, buttons, and like like. Personally, I would prefer for the interacting map features to cover mobs.

Well, that's nice, but what happens if you're trying to find the last monster that opens a gate?
Killing monsters is generally a higher importance than obtaining map objectives, due to crown payout being the whole point of playing levels.
