Dear OOO,

I've been playing SK for a long time now but at the same time I haven't. I loved the old Zelda games. My brothers and I spent countless hours messing around when they released Four Swords. I loved Phantasy Star Online and the similar small group instance RPGs. So when spiral knights came out it was a wonderful experience. It took a while to start but sticking with it I found a great guild and had a lot of fun. We all hit 5* FSC soloing capability and aside from helping new people, the game started to get a little boring.

The game livened up when you released Shadow Lairs and and the Colosseum games. I remember talking to the first people running through SL, spending upwards of 20kce just to finish and pave the way for the rest of us. Then about a month later SL keys were on sale for ce and everyone could repeatedly do them. As with Vana and FSC we all figured out the ins and out of the new bosses and it became easy enough for even 4* players to do it. After doing each about four or five times it got kind of old though.

The mission system was great, rewards and titles for finishing levels and the guildhall update was a much needed upgrade but I don't know where to go from here. Sure I could try to roll for great uv's, but pressing that button takes no skill. A visa player who's never gone into the clockworks would be better at it than me.

I keep checking the site to see if there are updates, especially for battle sprites, but there isn't much and never any definitive dates. I don't even consistently log in any more but at the same time I don't want to quit. Please do something to bring me back. I don't want to be logging on just when there are updates.

Thanks,
Ax

Since this is a suggestions thread and that didn't feel much like a suggestion, here's something I'd like to see. A revival of the arena levels. Repeating FSC from the mission list shouldn't give more rewards than going and finding the t3 arena levels. Also, Shadow lairs difficulty enemies on D29+ floors, that have arenas. (I understand why it was disabled but I miss the excitement in guild chat when we used to run arena loops) Also some form of survival game. Something in a square level where enemies just keep flooding in by the droves; starting from practice bots to a swarm of trojans. (something like the dodgeball like court in the heart of ice mission)

Umm..

Every game gets monotonous when you reach end-game... It's normal most of the time. Even the games I found a lot of fun become difficult to keep motivation up to play after reaching end-game.

I have a giant arsenal and the only thing left for me to do is just spam prestige to aim for 100k prestige or something since Im already max prestige... (<-- Already losing motivation rapidly to do this). Every mission is finished every boss able to solo... there is just nothing "fresh" about it anymore ;-;

Oh yeah...

It's funny how some people are in a hurry to reach the end game ASAP, and then they complain that there is "nothing new to do". Ha.

It might not be the OP's case, but it's on a related note.

to post #1: Not every game

to post #1:

Not every game gets monotonous when you reach end-game. This is usually restricted to mmorpg's and rpg's.

@Raptor

In other games, when you reach endgame the game is over and you stop playing. >_>
Unless you mean games in which there is no progression system, in which case... There is no end game.

Side quests, dlc/bonus levels, Secret items with endings, challenges or Free-Roam.

All of the things you described are only in RPGs. Unless we have different definitions of RPG...

I was talking in general.

So DLC or free-roam don't exist on offline games? or side Quests after main story?

He said mmorpg OR rpg. So singleplayer RPG's count too.

But stuff like this does occur in games of other genres.

Well, I usually spend 3/4 of my time on Spiral (usually in the middle of a fsc run :P) talking to others...............so it never gets monotonous ^^

um...

Doesn't the FSC misson give you less cr than if you were to do the actual run in clockworks?

@ terra

I don't think so. I get 10k cr doing an arcade vana; I don't think that more than 3k cr are made from a beast stratum with no arenas.

Just play Minecraft if you have a problem with endgame

The OOO devs are constantly working to give us new stuff, so stop being annoying.

This happens with every MMPORPG that you beat, so either start a new one, or play a game that never ends, and has infinite content (e.g. Minecraft, which has a million things to do on servers and such, it never ends)

"Every game gets monotonous when you reach end-game"

Not true for every game. Specifically, a game like this could potentially have a great end game.

There is no way to change difficulty, there is no gear that sets veteran players apart from regular players (accessories only distinguish the rich from the poor), and part of this game's end game (I'd say the main part) has a 1.8k CE wall separating it from its players.

It needs work, you can't just say that all games get monotonous at end game.

+1 to rawr

SK endgame has great potential. There just needs to be Something good in it.
