Suppose that bombs could be dropped with a standard attack, but with an attack speed roughly equal to the charge time?

I'm just throwing out the idea. I'm already seeing flaws.

Not very thought out, how about bombs that you can charge beforehand and then keep and be able to walk normally, then instadrop them since you pre-charged them.

eyes trying to see the end to another end

anyway, on beta version of the game (if you see the trailer), the old bombs could be used without fully charge, but removed, whatever the reason was

but... thinking about it:
what happen if you can throw 2 uncharged bombs on your front? any "sword striker" can caught you without get hit?
or even more, what should work the mist bombs by this way?

They should just put this back in. It was basically only overpowered with the old sun shards. Less damage, smaller radius, 3 bombs at a time, less persistence time for hazes and DR. Shard bombs would explode into little clusters of 4 shards or something.

Why can't people search ideas before wasting time and energy suggesting them for the fifteen thousandth time???

Or...

Blast style bombs (DBB, Nitronome, basically bombs which do damage with no extra effect and only a very small chance of status):

Placing them makes a smaller version of the bomb with a radius about the size of the proto bomb or smaller. If the original had any status effects (BAB), the new one will not. I imagine all of the charged variants' statistics will be either halved or divided into three for the uncharged version. Attack speed would start out low but increase via ASI variants (e.g. Fallen Set + Swiftstrike could become viable for full time bombers). It would have a one bomb 'clip' (as in, you can place one uncharged bomb before having to reload. The animation could be grabbing the same bomb or set of bombs from an invisible belt).

Shard Bombs

These will keep the same stats as the charged version, except you only drop one "shard". The shard does not have the first explosion that the charged version has, but instead starts off as one of the shards flung out from the blast. Damage bonus vs. family (Sun Shards and Rock Salt) will remain the same along with statuses. It would have a three bomb 'clip'.

Haze Bombs

Rebalancing these by halving their radius is going to be tricky, as the 2* haze bombs have so small a radius that even at their current state they're barely worth using. What we can do instead, is make the 2* and 3* uncharged version have the radius of the current 2* but have half the probability of inflicting a status. The 4* and 5*s get half their current radius and half the chance of inflicting their current status. Damage by the primary blast would also be halved. It would have a 3 bomb 'clip'.

An alternative to the half the chance of inflicting a status is to have half the duration, but this would make the Stagger Storm line unviable.

Vortex Bombs

Similar to the Haze Bombs, you can't balance the 3* one by halving its radius due to the radius being abysmal to begin with, but perhaps you could decrease the strength or damage. It should have a 3 bomb 'clip' to encourage chaining vortex bombs.

And Last but not least, Dark Retribution

The balancing for this could go two ways, either make it so that only one purple orb orbits the center at the same speed, or halve the speed of the revolutions at the same number of orbs. I'm personally edging towards option 2 as this would show more of an upgrade between star levels. The orbs would have either the same or two thirds the original damage.

If it was only 1 orb revolving it would have a 1 bomb clip but if it was option 2 then probably a 2 bomb clip.
