Or at least to know what it's going to be. I've been waiting for one year one month and one day now, and that's a lot of ones. But not a lot of iron-slug getting buffed. Spiral Hipster, who made an iron slug, is also severely disappointed, and feels betrayed by Nick's promise that he would enjoy his investment. Or maybe they quit the game, I don't actually know. They probably did quit. Probably killed themselves, out of depression for the horrendous lies that Nick spews forth-

"It's certainly one of the weapons that will be receiving a little boost in an upcoming patch." he says. Upcoming patches like the core, global warming and Marxist-communism-in-the-20s.

I too am sad and depressed by this lie, for I too made an iron slug. Personally, I would like to see it go the same direction as the shard bombs, become more flashy and more weapon like. "Currently, we feel that iron slug is just not very weapon like." they should say. The bullet should also glitch out of existence to prevent players from abusing the 2nd bullet in the gun. All tremendous buffs indeed.

Until then, I shall cry myself to sleep every night. Perhaps I will craft a second iron slug. Then I can cry twice as hard with my 2nd crappy weapon.

I kinda feel like I dodged a bullet (no pun intended) there: I WAS gonna make an Iron Slug after I saw Nick's post about it getting a buff someday "soon" but after the first patched hit, I grew wary and just made a Callahan with my Mega Magnus... still kinda disappointed with the weapon, honestly.

Well they were talking about the Iron Slug, the no-status inflicting, normal damage, mediocre interruption, rather short range, have-to-stop-when-you-shoot gun.
Not the rather awesome Callahan, the stun inflicting, piercing damage (one of only THREE 5* pierce guns), higher interruption (due to damage typing and status), still shortish range, still stop-to-shoot gun.
Kind of a big difference. :P

Honestly both of them do need some kind of buff, though. They're a little sub-par at what they were intended for, which is big damage and big interruption for the price of short range and standing still. Then there's the charge attack, which I would be fine with if it didn't have one of, if not the, longest charge times for guns and the ridiculous slow walking speed while charging.

While on that charging topic, can someone explain to me again why the explosion swords, beam-sword shooting swords, super spin swords, toothpicks, and mountains on sticks get to run around at full speed while charging, but everyone else doesn't?

I don't think it's lost its sting. As a recon, this gun rocks! Iron Slug probably works similarly, but can break Guardians' shields better.

Charging a Troika line incurs a moderate walking speed penalty, don't know why you thought otherwise.

Have a Triglav myself. :P Haven't used it in a while so I don't remember how slow you move when charging it.
What I was implying was that the swords, which have some of the most powerful charge attacks, barely suffer from any penalty from charging their weapon. This while the Iron Slug/Callahan suffer from ridiculous slowdown and a long charge time to fire off a shot that basically accomplishes shooting both of the normal shots.
I won't get into the bombs (have no experience with them at all), but it just annoys me seeing swordies charge spam with super powerful attacks with no worries and no repercussions while nearly every other weapon involves some semblance of planning involved with their charges.

You mean why a Combuster can have more range, damage, and potentially hit more targets than a Callahan, witouth having the recoil effect nor severe movement reduction?

The sealed sword line has slow movement speed while holding a charge.

As for brandishes, when they added the extra explosions, I always assumed the developers just forgot to reduce movement speed, as is the norm for weapons with ranged charge attacks. Don't know why they didn't fix it after though, as the brandish is so obviously broken.

But yeah, the magnus line is terrible. Greater risk for less damage. You're better off using alchemers. Although I do find them satisfying to use.

Rolled for one the minute Nick announced they were planning on buffing the Magnus line and my reward was to be stuck with a gun that is still very useless. Was hoping to cash in like when brandishes were buffed making ctr vh brandishes worth a fortune.
