I read in the recent patch that there would be a feature called "compounds" much like how C42 is a mix of slime, gremlins, fire, and poison. C42 is my favorite danger mission because it's the only one to not have shadow dam-...
C42 is my favorite danger mission because of the increased difficulty in statuses that only the truly experienced players can appreciate. I hated it at first, but now that I know what to do I can better expect things. Even now I usually die when I solo the mission because of the unexpected, and that's a good thing. I always want to work and waste my energy as team (that's what this game was designed for).
So I was going to propose (about month ago honestly), that there should be Clockwork Compounds focused on mixing enemy classes with resistances opposite of each other. For example:
Gremlins + Undead
Slime + Fiend
Beast + Construct
The weapons need to defeat one class would be counter intuitive to fighting the other enemy in the same area. This would present challenges to for the player base to thinking about what armors and resists to create and perhaps use normal based weaponry and specialized armor sets.
Stratum themes would vary, but if there were danger missions they could pick a diabolical combination.
(I can't think of any right now, but just look at C42. That's really hard and difficult if you don't have the right gear)
For example:
"Vengeance of Vog - Danger Mission" would focus on a fiery rocky trek through a crumbling, molten area of clockworks. Mobs would include Fyro Knights and Redwood (can stun be a theme anyone, please?) , with some Rocket Puppies for good measure, in the midst of fighting chromas and ash tails in a sub arena. Flourishes used to fight beasts don't work on Constructs, and vice-versa. You would need to plan accordingly with your squad what items and weapons to carry.
Gremlins + undead = neutrals to pierce weapons
Slime + fiend = elemental
Beast + construct = shadow
Normal weapons will never shine.
