I'm a major LD player as many of you know, and with this UI update, it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to play. FIRST of all, there's a HUGE PICTURE of my avatar on the top left of my screen. thanks for blocking the view, *&^#@!*. ALSO, if you don't HUD lock, that's a HUGE point where you can click on it by accident and then stop in your tracks and get murdered. even with the HUD lock on, the bottom left of the screen is not locked. you can click the last party/team member on your team, which is again hazardous. this is not only in LD, I did a caketastrophe run and it was TERRIBLE.
Don't get me wrong, this UI is nice, I especially love the health bars, but some things need to change.

FIRST of all, I DONT NEED TO SEE A HUGE FREAKING WEAPON ICON WHENEVER I SWITCH WEAPONS.
GOD.
I use independant switching so I know exactly which weapon I'm switching to. no need to cover the entire right side of my knight with a giant icon that POPS UP at me and scares me sh%tless. I always think it's one of those recon gremlins or recon knights, and it ALSO BLOCKS MY VIEW BECAUSE ITS HUMONGOUS. ONCE AGAIN, I DONT NEED TO SEE MY ALL THE WEAPONS I HAVE HOLY CRAP.

SECOND OF ALL, why is it that every fricking time I get hit by whatever weapon (even by a flimsy antigua), my screen shakes? Is an antigua bullet powerful enough to knock me down on my arse, and am I fat enough to shake cradle? I don't think so. it's also incredibly annoying ESPECIALLY IN LD, because of the shaking, I can't hit the enemy attacking me. it's even worse than "hitstun" itself.

THIRD of all, again, I don't need a huge picture of my knight on the top left of my screen. CONTRARY to popular belief, I am not such an egotistic maniac, and I don't need to look at my knight every second of the day to boost my e-peen. it's also a huge hindrance in both PvE and PvP, because if you click it, damn good luck fighting people when your knight is picking at his hands while standing still against your commands.

FOURTH of all, I don't understand how a UI change would drop my fps by another 10-20? like HOW do you make a UI THAT LAGGY. I think you guys should get an award for making the laggiest yet most simple UI I have ever seen.

I don't mean to rage at you guys, but HONESTLY, you can do better than this.

I like the new UI. It's not

I like the new UI. It's not perfect and should definitely be tweaked (those 'tweaks' have been pretty well fleshed out in the suggestions forum already), but overall I believe it's an improvement over the old UI.

@Feller, It's "Major" and I think he means all he does is play Lockdown.

@OP I agree, this UI has done nothing but make me lag, yes the monster health bars are neat, no they are not necessary.

This new UI Makes me lag, Disconnect, IN haven, Clockworks, and Lockdown. I do not doubt that OOO is working on fixing this but I personally blame Sega for the fall of SK.

The new UI is kinda okay, and I'm starting to get used to it. At least in PvE.

But what I can't appreciate is that the shake of screen when you get hit in PvP (It doesn't matter in PvE since you don't get to hit a lot anyways)
You would kinda feel well when you are 1vs1'ing in LD and when the opponent die with the explosion of health pips.
But seriously, you don't have to shake the screen every single time you get hit.
When there are many people around and attacking you at the same time, it's almost like earthquake or the explosion of the catalyzer charge or Troika line. I feel kinda sick and I can't understand what on earth is going on. Explosion everywhere.

PLEASE DELETE THE SCREEN SHAKE WHEN YOU GET HIT.

i didn't like the new ui, i also found the weapon switch on cursor thingy anoying and i as hell didn't like the new vails :s

please make the UI optional (can't be that hard can it?) hope this will be done before the batlle sprites :(

COUNTER RANT!

Okay, FIRST of all, the weapon wheel ISN'T THAT HUGE. Really. You make it sound like it takes up half the screen, when it's not even big enough to cover ANYTHING that ISN'T a mini, ALSO why are you complaining? It's not like it erases any memory of enemies being there.

Second of all, without the screen shake, you would react SLOWER as it was much less noticeable last time. And even then, it lasts for .5 seconds, and if you hate it, don't get hit.
Third of all, Any argument against this can also go for ANY nice art thing in game. "Why do we NEED this pillar it just gets in my way!" Okay, that's a stretch, but really, it's just as big as the map. If you don't like it, try looking at the UI without it, and you'll see why it's there.

Finally, fourth of all. Although while I can't deny that you may have lag, note that you are speaking to someone who's lag stayed the same. If your havering poor FPS, then do these and find a balance you Like: turn graphics to low, turn off NPC names and player ranks, and finally, TURN OFF AUTO AIM. It makes that enemy description bar appear.

Thank you for your time. You should note that I didn't play yesterday, do to me being busy, so I'm not the greatest source to complain to complainers. Sorry for anything the may be: overly harsh, misspelled, misgrammered, and mis-every-other-thing-you-learned-in-LA. And yes, I knew this was on the bottom of the front page.

I think the new UI is a good

I think the new UI is a good concept, but hasn't been executed to its best. Some players are mad about things like being able to have 0% health and not being capable of dropping vita-pods, but generally it's issues with the UI being oversized relative to window size or resolution.

I for one love the new UI and find it very snazzy/helpful where certain things were previously very ambiguous and unhelpful, but I play 1920x1080 fullscreen (which I loved the addition of in the update) so I'm not getting HUD size problems, and don't use lock hud consequently because my hud is very well sized, and I'm a gun user so my mouse is pretty active as far as percentage of screen used.

Question: who here hates the new UI update whose argument isn't centered around gigantic HUD or lock HUD issues?

I agree with Redblades. The weapon wheel is terrifyingly scary.

When I use it, I think I'm being attacked by three flying weapons.

One time I swear a zombie grabbed one and totally killed me Waaah! (and I can't be sure, but I think the wheel is getting constantly bigger?!?)

Please OOO, stop scaring Redblades and I.
